You encountered them with your own eyes .

Seats in the old Stretford End at Old Trafford .

Ah yes the good old days , nostalgia says the Stretford End was a vacuum of working class support all stood on a Saturday afternoon together as one .

Not exactly , I went to a Rugby League Premiership Final in the 80's between Wigan and Warrington and we stood on the Stretford End , there were plastic seats right at the back of it .

Liverpool fans are friendly and jovial and the best supporters in the world .

Some of the most violent , stanley knife wielding thugs I've ever encountered , Anfield can be a very unpleasant experience even today by all accounts .

Millwall have the worst fans in London .

Not even close to Spurs , I've visited White Hart Lane 3 times and Millwall the same , Millwall is a picnic by comparison to Tottenham .

The golfer Colin Montgomery was a morgy tw@t with no personality .

I went to the Open one year at Lytham and Monty spent an hour with some kids on the practice ground doing some coaching , trick shots and had a dictionary of one liners Frankie Boyle wouldn't be able to come back on .

Wimbledon is full of snotty nosed toffs with little interest in tennis and there because it's a class thing .

Absolutely not , people from all walks of life enjoying the greatest tennis tournament of them all , friendly , helpful and a great craic if you camp out in Wimbledon Park the night before to get tickets .

Rugby League fans don't fight .

Try going to a Wakey v Cas game , real venom and hostility , I went a few years back for a Good Friday game at Belle Vue and it was kicking off big time .

Football has priced out the working class .

Aye it has , however it's nowt on Rugby Union mind , cheapest match ticket for a 6 Nations game at Twickenham and you are looking at £120 , for 80 minutes , I went as a school kid in the 70's , bus full from Darton High , tell thi nar nobody's parents had that kind of dosh back then around here so it must have been cheap .

It's a great day out at the races .

Took JLO to York one saturday in the summertime .

It starts alreight , lads suited and booted and lasses dressed up like they are going to a Royal Wedding ..... wait a while when the booze kicks in .

By the time it gets to the last race even the lasses are feighting , spuing up and yuring , coachloads of lads squaring up in the car park , it's some fecking spectacle .

Give me a night out at the dogs anytime .

Just some of my experiences based on opinions and not always necessarily facts .

Anymore for anymore experiences that are actually myths based on your findings .
