This new alleged signing, Rod. If he works as hard as Bamford but is better at finishing, should score a lot of goals.

Fair enough for people to be skeptical about value & ability as he is not a well known footballer by any means. Our track record on transfers is debateable as this forum proves.

We played the best football in the Championsip and laid waste to opposition who in previous seasons would have been feared, no argument on that at all.

To pretend that that is enough with the same squad to even survive in the Premiership is pure, unadulterated, gold-plated, copper-bottomed idiocy.

We, at present, DO NOT have the strength or cohesiveness that Blades had when they were promoted, and unless we strengthen the squad with those who can bring immediate PL experience and PL quality, we will struggle to survive.

HOs optimism is genuinely to be applauded, but it's like trying to turn back the tide by sheer enthusiasm to do so, IT WONT WORK.

Nope, club tried to bring him in with a loan to buy option of about £8 million. Brighton would not sell last year and wont sell this year.

100% guilty and charged. Only Spanish teams we are really exposed to are Barca, Real and those that are competing well in Europe for that particular season. Don't think Valencia have been on the Radar much in recent times.

He is a full Spanish international and was the leading player at Valencia - I don’t see how there can be any negatives. As Asturian has said there is no way we would have signed him if Valencia were not in financial trouble.

I don’t mind being criticised for being positive but I can back my optimism up with what is happening on and of the field.

Radz has created a proper team on and off the field to deliver success. There are proper plans that are followed which get updated as we progress.

Orta whether you like him or not is a big name in football. Angus is a seasoned MD and has developed the commercial side impressively.

I still can’t believe that we have Bielsa who the likes of Man U, Barcelona, Chelsea would be happy to have as head coach. He has revolutionised all the football aspects of the club.

He clearly improves players and if we bring players who are better quality rough diamonds then imagine why he will do with them.

We have a settled squad and the way we play should suit the prem. in the deepest darkest days of Bates or GFH there is no way any of us could have imagined well certainly not me being in this position.

It may go badly wrong, it may be a spectacular success - nothing in life is certain but crikey I feel sorry for people if they can’t feel excitement that we are bringing in good players for a crack at the premier league with Bielsa at the helm.

Very well 'lauded' over here in France too when Spanish games are aired on Tv.This guy can play for sure right across the front line & for me is a very gifted intelligent forward with the technical skills of Saiz and Pablo in his locker too.Blokes a class act and total team player end of and Bielsa will get him buzzing for us within our pattern of play.
London press stated Arsenal were after him prior to lockdown - we've nicked a real gem IMO.

Why is "one of the best players in the country" still (at least for a short time, unfortunately), with such a second rate club? How do you make yourself look thin? Surround yourself with fat people, same principle applies.
