I’m sorry to see him go. But he wants regular first team football, we can’t guarantee that. No big drama.

As for Turner & McCory. Why do we need to get rid? Bring another left back and centre half in, these two are more than adequate for NL.

Granted Turner was poor in the play off final and he’s had his injuries, but I wouldn’t bin.
Where did I say he should start over Enzio or Roberts ???

Call me old fashioned but if you come in and perform well would you not expect to keep your place.

As I said they are never fit that is why nothing to do with ability...lets just hope he can bring a LB in who trys to stop a cross coming into the box !

He's not better than Enzio or Roberts so would be a squad player. He's done nothing to warrant a first team place. Good luck to him wherever he ends up but he shouldn't be a starter here and he wants first team football. Which we won't give him and rightly so.

You're correct about him being a squad player - or who do you drop to make way for him? Certainly not Enzio or Roberts, so it would have to be another midfielder, but who? We now have Rodrigues and Sloth who you would expect to to be immediate first team players and perhaps Osborne could have competed with them, and Doyle, and O'Brien, and Reeves. Unlikely though - eh?

A case might have been made to have given Osborne a lengthy run in the first team, but when we are looking to make an immediate impact on this league, that wasn't going to happen. What is more likely to happen now is more experienced signings by Ardley in this, his sh1t or bust season.

That is what happened with Turner in the play offs, played well in the semis and kept his place for the final.
That turned out well didn't it?

In fairness to Ardley it was after 4 months of no games so we don’t know if Turner was training better than Rawlinson.

In normal circumstances when you are playing week in week out you play people in form and it is there shirt to lose.

Anyone with any basic understanding of the game knows this.
