There will be young and Hungary players arriving just like Ajayi, Pereira, Krovinovic and Diangana last season and they didn’t do two badly. We will also need one or two experienced players to help the group after losing both Barry and Brunt. Experience means a lot in the top flight. As for Gayle don’t get me wrong loved his season with us but if you would have bothered to check he missed a lot of last season through injury. We also tried to bring him in on loan but he refused,so let’s move on from a player who will not be coming .

Mick, constant negativity destroys. I'm Glad to see someone on here with a glass half full. Most of the others are happy to smash their glasses against the wall over just about anything.

Have you not stepped back a minute and thought - why am I in the minority that thinks Kanu is not good enough - it’s shocking there’s been no activity etc etc! If you feel the side is good enough for the Premier League - that’s your view but the majority would say for anyone to say that needs to be sectioned! We struggled at the end to get out of a poor championship and since then we have lost six decent players and talk is of a Wigan player and another cart horse type loan deal - for f uck sake!!! Why are Leeds spending money? Think about it!!!

You slated Burke ( your choice ) and don’t think he’s any good myself! I would bet though the majority of managers would take Burke every time over Kanu!

I can honestly see Bilic walking and would not blame him!! Honestly think Jenkins saw this coming..,

Glass half full or deluded? If you think we are going to cut it with minimal signings then I do think you fall in to the latter category having read some of your posts.

Why when people take an objective view about our current situation is it negative? So, no one is entitled to be critical even if they pays their money at the gate every week?

2 weeks to go, players out but no one in and we are playing at a far higher level, surely that's being objective to discuss the shortcomings as things stand?

I like to think that I'm fairly optomistic regarding Albion. At this moment in time however, it's not looking good. It's not surprising that many fans are concerned at the situation but that's not to say that things won't improve in a couple of weeks' time. It is to be hoped that this will be the case. I don't understand though why the Krov. and Robinson deals haven't been sorted out yet. My biggest concern however, is the owner, Lai. He has no interest in us whatsoever and all that he is interested in is recouping the money that he paid for the club in the first place. There lies the problem!

Forget Lai he is never going to put his hand in pocket, but nothing has changed Peace was the same.Bilic new when he came in we were a well run ship with no lavish spending. I enjoy opinions of others but all that some do is run how our club is run. We do not know anything that is going on behind the scenes we need to trust the board not constantly have a dig at them. Dowling has done a decent job for me and I hope he carries this on in this window. I think some will be Pleasantly surprised by some of the players we bring in. But others would moan about something if we bought in Messi, Ronaldo , oh there to old. My glass is half full until the transfer window shuts then if we haven’t had a good window I will say , but some of you will not give them a chance

There you go again!!! Keep to your own views and others ( as in the majority ) will formulate their own on our financial spending.

You contradict yourself as you say forget Lai and nobody knows what’s going on behind the scenes. Well what goes on behind the scenes is directed by an owner!! I would be very happy with the side who won promotion with a decent keeper ( like Ben Foster ) and a decent striker ( like Gayle ) so is that too much to ask??????

As it is with two weeks to go - we have lost six players from the promotion winning side and are linked with a league 1 player and a loan deal with a player past it who averages six goals a season!!

Stick to your own blinkered views and real fans will justifiably be very concerned!

We recruited very well last year and most of it was late in the transfer window. I really hope for a couple of Croatian diamonds as well as 3 or 4 other new faces. It is frustrating but based on last year's recruitment I remain cautiously optimistic!!

We all hope that the team is strengthened for the upcoming season but it is a reality that we don’t know what the intentions of Mr Lai are. He gives no indication of being interested in the football and whether or not he wants to sell is anybody’s guess. Personally, I want the chinaman gone but even if we do see the back of him, there is no guarantee that a new owner would pump large amounts of funds into the team.

Anyone have Amanda Staveley’s number? She may be getting fed up of not getting what she wants in Newcastle!
