I recall a pre season interview with Chris Hughton when at Brighton when a local reporter asked him about a transfer rumour concerning a certain player. His reply was 'I can categorically state we are not speaking to or are likely to him or any player we have been linked with'

There are clubs (Fulham for 1) being touted as spending £millions on quality when in reality they have only added the Wigan full back at less than £2m to last season's squad.

But when did reality ever get in the way of a good old whinge on here?

A few things. Fulham were stronger than us at the end of the season and would say a 2 million spend is 2 million more than us. Fulham have not lost six players from their squad ( 3 of them the best players ) either so yes there’s a huge concern.

Leeds have signed quality and don’t see they have lost their best players either!

Leicester will honestly tear us to shreds!! For sure we will get someone like Deeney - loan - another donkey and past it! Why not take Ben Foster from Watford instead as that would be one position massively improved upon!

You never know miracles may happen and Kanu may score 20 and I could win the 130 million jackpot Tuesday!

So Fulham were stronger than us were they buy my count they were bloody lucky to draw at our place and where did we finish hmmmmmm let me think 2nd where did Fulham finish well 4th.so don’t come that carp with me . As for there signing I can understand why we never threw 50grand a week at an unproven full back he may be good and hope he will be but 50grand a week stupid.

And since then we have released 9 wasn’t it and sold 1 and turned 1 loan into a signing
