    Burke for Robinson

Whilst some may see this as a good swap deal if this goes ahead, it still does not solve our problem. Robinson with respect did not set the championship on fire last season, and honestly don't feel as a striker he's much better than what we have!

I described Robinson as another Scott Sinclair ( even looks a bit like him ) last season and thought he was lazy. Last game against QPR he played well but the glaring miss could have had dire consequences.

I think Deeney is past it and not good enough but would rather have him than Robinson! Robinson for Gayle - now that would be great!

    Any thoughts?

Gayle showed for Newcastle when given a run he knows where the goal is deeney and Gayle I'd take that for now

Well, we're not going to get Gayle so I think Robinson for Burke is good business. I would then get rid of Austin and Zohore and bring in a young, decent striker. HRK would be fine as a back up.

Where is all this talk of Gayle coming from? Very unlikely he will be leaving Newcastle and it looks like he is going to be out for 3 months with the injury he picked up against Crewe. He did the same last year and wasn’t fit much before Xmas.

We couldn’t afford him if he was for sale and if we put all our budget into getting him then in 3 months time we will probably be already relegated. These were the reasons I was happy we didn’t go for him last season and why I am happy we are not going for him now. Move on.

Nobody is saying he’s coming Yarm but the point made is he’s far better than any of our three strikers and when he was free from injury last season he was decent for Newcastle. Gayle knows where the net is and that’s our problem!! Bruce will not let him go!

Leeds have solved their weakness with a solid full back and a proven striker and unlike us - have not lost six players!! In business you reap what you sow with investment - any business!

Getting off to a good start is massive for confidence and how many teams have kept that confidence and morale going when doing this!

    Tick tock!
