That's some bad luck, maybe we now need to have 3 payers for every position instead of 2.
It’s happened quite often I remember a few years ago frecks was out Thomas was out and newel was out it’s not bad luck it’s common for us 😂

Crooks and Lindsey will do OK in the Championship, but we need another man in the middle.

I maintain we should have signs Smallwood.

True it happens to most teams at some point. It would be ideal to have extra cover but that depends on having the budget and players happy to only be part of a squad.

Warne likes to have a small squad, a team that want to play and not settle for sitting on the bench or not even making the squad. We can't afford to carry extra players that are not likely to play, but maybe required for a few games. Instead there is plan b; change formation, use a different player will normally plays elsewhere, and if the transfer window is open maybe a short term loan.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the max squad size in the cship this season was around 25 players. This might be players over a certain age though.

PW has also said recently that he wants the full 25 squad size and I seem to recall his main reason was the increased number of midweek night games due to starting in mid September rather than early August. This is his contingency plan for injuries, fatigue and suspensions

You can have 25 men and as many under 21s as you want

Regardless of what reports have said Dan Barlaser still probably rejoining on loan. Newcastle like the midfielder and rate him but he’s too far back in the pecking order atm and they want him playing games. Keeper also close Johansson.
