    Just thinking about it and I realise it’s a long shot but if we were to beat Harrogate and then win the final, we could potentially go on to win it again in this seasons competition. Has this ever happened before where a club has won the same tournament twice in one season?

    In the scenario you've outlined, we wouldn't be winning the FA Trophy twice in a season. The season doesn't kick off until October.

    You could argue that from the FA’s perspective the season has already started even if the NL haven’t kicked a ball yet. Teams below us in the pyramid have started playing competitive games in an FA competition. Harrogate‘s season has started, we are playing competitive football in the same season they are playing in. This is essentially the start of our competitive season whether we are ready or not.
