    Have just read the club statement again. Why does it say " The club and its owners do not accept that PL chief executive Richard Masters have acted .......... ( not typing the rest )
    We don't have owners do we, we just have an owner.

    So what is the PL reason for blocking the deal ? they must know they are just causing more trouble by coming out with this but its masters and co so no surprise. Lets hope Ashley Staveley and the Saudi's all take the PL to court they would win the case and hopefully leave the PL totally humilated and skint.

    according to what ive seen, the rejection boiled down to - whether the state was the owner or Pif (as a separate entity to the state). the PL decided not to accept the saudis evidence that PIF was a separate entity

    Did UEFA not say last week that it was not against their rules for a state to be involved in a club.
