Thread: Are the media biased

    I just don't see it as cronyism for shooting, when so many other sporting pursuits are also included.

    Personally, I think catching fish for sport is cruel, despite reports saying that it does no harm to the fish. I just don't see how a living animal can have its flesh torn and taken out of its natural environment, water, for a short period of time, without causing stress. Not to mention the damage caused by old fishing lines to other animals. But its a sport of the common folk and nobody would dare to do anything about it.

    Don’t underestimate the mental health benefits of fishing, I only do a couple of days a year but even I, rubbish fisherman with few demons, just feel so much better during and after. Accepted that doesn’t help the fish. Wonder if Mista feels like that

    Walking does that for me, Andy. Each to their own.
    Sure we’ve been here before, but really not sure fishing and shooting are ‘sports’...aren’t they ‘pastimes’?
