To be fair thats a standard approach to responding to interviews, if you don't like the question, ignore and give a different answer and if you have a message to get across then just repeat that and ignore any questions.

It then depends upon the interviewer, whether they are just briefed to ask questions, or whether they are interrogating the person trying to get the answer they want or to provoke a careless retort.

The news these days is so arbitrary, Ioften wonder who decides whats newsworthy and who is in a position to know the details?

Someone with an obsession with USA must have a vote, we seem to get way too much USA news.

    Not sure about that, Andy.
On the one hand Johnson and Trump are ‘allies’ and with Brexit on the near horizon, future trade deals with the US are, to some extent, dependent on that relationship.
On the other, the Democrats, led, potentially, by ‘President’ Biden have a different view...of both Johnson and Brexit, which is likely to scupper Johnson’s planned US trade deals.
With that in mind...not to mention this is the leader of the ‘free Western World’ who is regularly displaying a mixture of ignorance, arrogance and incompetence, and his ‘newsworthiness’ is surely understandable.

    I wasn’t referring to politics
