Edit to add, how much can a club get for a 16 yr old and what position are utd in to negotiate future transfers etc? Find the whole thing hard to believe being honest
Not disagreeing with whats been said by all on this. My only thought to add in is that we may be jumping on he gun on this story. Maybe we should see what transpires in the next few days.

For one we dont know if the player will be flying in from Spain, he might be elsewhere.
And although I don't know what the League and club protocols are it could be that he's tested on arrival at the club and quarantined for a few days until he takes a second test, and might then be cleared to train in the group and play assuming both tests were negative.
Regardless of a negative test you MUST still quarantine in Scotland for two weeks, the reason i have not been on here much is a close relative needed care facilities recently and although they had a NEGATIVE test they were confined to a room for a fortnight which was very difficult to deal with.

Yip, looks like Scotland is the exception to the exemption as English clubs can sign foreign players and don't have to quarantine. It seems that we do.

If we did not it would make the Celtic player's wee break to Spain a perfectly good idea.

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon can’t wait to welcome Jeando Fuchs to the club even though he won’t be able to see him for a fortnight.

Mellon views Fuchs as exactly the kind of “quality player” the Tangerines need to keep progressing in the Premiership.

The Cameroon international midfielder is on his way to Tannadice after the Tangerines and his Spanish club Alaves agreed a deal.

Nah it wouldn't have. The exemptions are only if players are travelling to countries for competitions/sporting events and returning to training. Those heading off on a jolly aren't covered. It's already happened to a number of players down south.

Shame for the lad, but seems like he is a bit prone to injury. Lucky escape really, let's hope we have another surprise international lined up instead 🤞

16 is no age to be living in digs hundreds of miles from his family anyway imo. Hopefully the kid makes the sensible choice and continues to develop at United for at least the next couple of years.
