Yes i am baffled by Ardleys ideas into bringing subs on, what was the point in subbing o brien at 85 minutes
Same in the play off final, even though we were up agianst it, Ardley made no subs till half time
He seems to have no idea, how to change tactics, if things dont go to plan

The OP asked for reasons why Ardley should stay. I haven't seen any apart from the usual "we have to give him longer". Yesterday was only one game, but it was a typical Ardley game. Dover were in the same state we were in when we lost at Eastleigh last opening day and should have been there for the taking. I doubted Ardley had the ability to win, but I didn't think even he would manage to come home with nothing. The general concencus on here is that we have excellent owners and a very good squad for this level. The management is clearly the problem. I have wanted Ardley gone since the final whistle blew at Swindon, and my opinion has never wavered. I am one of those who think our owners are excellent, but sticking with Ardley for so long could be their first big mistake.

Didn't want him here from day one. Was a Hardy panic appointment who failed miserably.

To answer the thread title, yes. 10-12 games to show we're moving forward. If we're not in the playoff places by then I'll be very surprised and disappointed.

However, after one single 1-0 away defeat I'm flabbergasted by the negativity on NCM. It's inbarrassing. By the way, in my book a new season is a clean sheet and that single result is all that actually matters right now to our fortunes. Previous seasons, play off defeats etc. are simply history now.

I agree i have wanted him gone sinve January 2019, where Ardley managed to win one game from his first 12 matches, and set us 8 points from safety

It was a typical Ardley game of playing for a point, and becoming undone by a set piece, his incompetence was shown by the sub on 85 minutes , and no intent on winning the game whatsoever

The thing is with the owners they have only seen Ardley from the beginning of last season, so all the mistakes that are still there from the relegation season , they may not be aware off

Hurry up sacking him??? My main fear is this muppett will still be in charge in another 3 years, and we will still be in the national league or lower, dont think Ardley can,t relegate us again, because his track record shows he could

HArdley not being wanted is a bit on the strong side, Oirish. Tho a lot of us did have misgivings about his appt at the time that would be true to say, but as with any new manager, you give them a chance? Unfortunately, he got his chance and failed miserably.

I think we may have seen the last of Ardley as Notts manager.

Did you see the way he waved as he went down the tunnel yesterday?

An Ardley In? Thread is essence identical to the two Ardley Out threads. Same debate, same arguments.

10 games, then review. Only 10 that's not asking for much.

The whole relegation season was a mistake, a series of mistake after mistake after mistake including appointing Ardley.

The thing is with a manager you judge their whole time at a club, and when you see the same failures continually repeated, it is hard to think of a clean slate
Given the financial backing ,and the squad we have, anything less than a play off place would be criminal. But here lies the problem, a play off place in itself is not enough, to progress you then have to win in the play offs , or be champions and automatically promoted - beyond Ardley,s reach in my opinion but this season will tell
