He's 'Premiership ready' according to the manager.

Delighted with Fuchs & McNulty. Well done MM, TA & Mark O.

Can't wait to see them in the team.

Unlike Paul McMullan. Shame for the wee guy. But I really think he will struggle for game time in this division.

After the "slamming" shut of the window, how do we feel about our business?
Most important to me is we haven't lost any of our better players. Have added depth defensively with Edward's and a future GK as succession planning. Bolton on loan is an exciting signing, seems to have a lot to offer. Hoti is an unknown but seemingly on the brink of international squad. Intriguing more than exciting?!
Fuchs and McNulty both have international experience and would seem to have potential to add depth and quality. Obviously both a risk in their own way, McNulty more so but has got some undoubted qualities.
Given the climate we are operating in, personally think it is a good window for us.

The most important thing is we still have Shankland. Possibly good additions. Central defence remains a weak area.

Personally I have the jury out. Having been teased with Safranko, Norwood and Nisbet previously, it feels somewhat ‘underwhelming’. Factor in losing Watson and replacing him with someone who I would consider similar and certainly not an ‘upgrade’, and I can’t say I’m totally excited. However, the bottom line remains that the minimum we want is to finish 10th or above AND show definite signs of progress and so long as that is achieved then so be it.

On a final note however - we are storing up some striking issues for next summer. Clark as we know is not someone we can rely on for regular goals, Shankland will be away no question and McNulty’s loan will have finished and he’ll also be gone. What happens then??????

These things are tomorrow's problems. Sufficient for today is to take care of today's problems. We are not a rich club. Very little money is coming in on a weekly basis at the moment and it is uncertain when that situation will be resolved. I'm sure we would be much further down the road if things were operating normally. FWIW we can still pick up free transfers and there is a window in January. Likely need has been balanced with caution and how we perform will determine January's needs. If this pandemic keeps up we may have a lot fewer clubs next season?

I am happy if Mellon decides to change some positions. I think Chalmers may be pushed left - if so gives us options.
    Sieg
    Smith Reynolds Butcher Robson

    Bolton Fuchs Harkes Chalmers/Appere/Sporle

    McNulty Shankland

It maybe Fuchs can play and he partners butch so edwards would be my next choice as i think he will settle. Connolly needs some therapy and common sense drummed into him.

Clark will be important still and Sporle, Appere should be too. Why we got Hoti in ive no idea.

Happy with quality of the two recent signings (i think) but still feel its a bit short. Maybe free transfers will come available?

The difference is we should have money from the Shankland sale and a summer to prepare unlike last summer with the no manger, promotion not confirmed and COVID uncertainty.
