If true, this proposal is likely to be very controversial among majority of EPL clubs. Why would the majority of clubs vote to deprive themselves of any future say? Can’t see it getting off the ground

The thing with that statement is, its probably true as it stands. But knowing these corrupt b*stards they will put it to vote when clubs are desperate and look like folding because of covid. Desperate owners will vote to save the club rather than go against this.

And they have invited west ham and southampton to tag along with them why ?? southampton were relegated and in the 3rd tier a few years ago and west ham have been relegated from the premier league.

Presumably, those two are in their pocket and will gain financially if it happens. It’s a bit like The Hundred in cricket - I used to be a member at Durham and not one other member I know wanted it and a lot of club officials across the country didn’t want it but the clubs are so reliant on the ECB, it was steamrollered through its massive bungs for the counties. West Ham & Southampton must have been promised riches if they are on board although they’ll never be allowed to actually threaten the others for Champion's League places or winning the league etc.

Just looked at the all time EPL table (post split from EFL in early 90’s) - we’re 8th, Villa 9th then it’s West Ham & Southampton. They won’t want us to be part of the top nine so they’ve used ours & Villa’s recent relegations to shift the criteria. Everton are 6th in the table and have never been relegated so they qualify on both criterion.

We will see that smug grin of his all over the papers when he wins. He will no doubt bring the english game to its knees if he uncovers corruption and interference from other clubs and owners.
Ashley is all for self gain and that tatty shop. When he wins, he has already got deals lined up in Saudi etc
Never thought I'd say this but if Ashley does nail them to the wall and the takeover goes ahead I'll raise a glass to him.

looks like they may have fo0ked them selves up now, greedy feckers. The government are going to get involved

the last line in the governments response today will send shivvers through the PL, Qatar and the top 6

“Fans must be front of all our minds and this shows why our fan led review of football governance will be so critical.”

oof, can you imagine the govenment looking into the way the PL is ran, you can bet they will dig up as much dirt as they can to get the attention away from covid and their own shltness

im sure its our fans and the petition with Chi that started this lol

Good, go the govt. (for once)

I'd say that this really does show the contempt the top 6 have for basically anything else, shows they really do think they are above govt. and everything.

Also, the whole proposal is a ****ing disgrace.

Would be ironic if it was Masters! Thinking “fùck this, I’ve got no actual authority so may as well play every fücker who’s corrupt in the background and screw the bästards for a massive pay off to go quietly when they need me to go!”
