That was before money ruined the game if that happened now you’d have players that are on premiership money playing off against teams that are on championship money

What difference does that make? If teams were solely judged on what their players are paid then we might as well pack this season in now.

Sounds like Baldrick was involved in this somewhere

Players get sold when they drop so before they even kick a ball their best players have bogged off having 3rd from bottom play 6th from top may seem like it won’t make a difference but it will

Because a they will have a full premiership loser team without missing any from transfers

Also in championship it would mean 3rd place in championship would face 3rd from Bottom In premiership, you will get teams Throwing games to end up 4th or 5th

It's a moot point but you've got the logic wrong. 3rd bottom would play 5th from top and winner of that would play winner of 3rd/4th game. Also, by your logic the best players (teams) would always be the highest paid and we know from experience that is far from the truth.

Our man seemed to be in favour but it was the PL clubs who voted it down.

That’s not what I’m saying at all it’s not to do with wage it’s to do with players moving on

Let me put it this way say Leicester came 3rd from bottom they could play schmeichel vardy Praet and Maddison if they dropped the normal way two or three would be snapped up and they would have to bring new players that’s within the fair play rules and more often than not making them weaker than they was. Can you imagine us playing charlton in season 18/19 with vaulks and semi we would have smashed them to pieces

I do agree with the idea of scrapping the now pointless League cup & Charity shield, and the disgraceful undeserved 'parachute payments' thing as well.
But the idea of cutting the Prem down to 18 teams, while we still have the ridiculous amount of 24 teams in our leagues, is a totally selfish one. And as for one team going into the relegation/staying up Play offs again like it originally was, well thats just pathetic!.
