Disagree with sadlier gwru. I've seen nothing to suggest he's up to this league. I think he will disappear like Palmer did a few season back.
I do agree regards crooks. He's looked well out of form or is it he's not a championship STD. Either way he needs leaving out for a few games and rotate Wiles/Linsey alongside barlaser and McDonald..
Wiles has looked good in every game for 45 minutes then he needs telling to sit deeper as he's leaving the full back exposed. I guess we forgive him because his age and not his natural position.
If we move wiles into the middle or bench we can give jalfrazi a run on the right.
Miller on the other side has looked good to say he's played Infront of 4 different LB. but tends to panic's when he gets into the box.
Can't fault any of our defence/GK so far.

The change in the team yesterday was there for all to see ( Obvously some cant see past the end of their noses) I think up until yesterday we have been a 6 all round the pitch but yesterday we were an 8.

Communication improved between the players as did the way we closed down as a unit. We also worked as a team in midfield which has not been the case since the season started. Defenders are learning to be a bit quicker with their thinking and even tho Forrest got at us a few times you could see less panick and more effort to get back into position and try to snub out attacks.

IMHO yesterday was the turning point the lads needed to show them they can really compete in this league this season.

I predict at least 6 wins from the next 10 games!

    Up the Millers!

Couldn't help admiring how when we won the ball at times we weren't afraid to pass it around and through the defence.

    Really! We've improved massively

Agree the passing was v good though I would like us to keep possession a bit more. It's good we look to get the ball forward quick but around 60-65 minutes we needed to keep the ball not go looking for a 2nd

ould you say the same things has above if forests finishing had been better. Four or five good chances. Did we have a chance to score apart from the pen?.we got overrun in the second half and how we managed a draw I don't know. Has I've said I'm realistic bout our chances of being in this league next season.

Yes I agree we could have lost by a big score but does that mean Liverpool are crap because they conceded 7 to Villa?

The point I was making is that the players have now got some beliefe in themselves and yesterday it was there for all to see.

Yes the passing was generally good with the exception of Crooks who gave the ball away so many times. Time to give him a rest, definitely keep Lynsay in for that bit of bite and Sean Mcdonald must surely start with Dan the man pulling the strings.

In all the games we've played the high press really well, never giving the opposition any time on the ball, but only for the first hour or so. It's hard to keep that up for 90 minutes though without tiring, and that's probably contributed to the late goals and chances we've given away. Correct me if I'm wrong but we've not conceded in the first half yet have we? We're heading in the right direction anyway, a clear improvement on last time in the Championship,

To be fair to us we did play a weakened team yesterday, 2 players out of position in Wiles and Jones and an old man at the back. All of them did well in their adopted positions. I can't help feeling if Ogbene had still been playing he would have provided that outlet for us to relieve the pressure a bit. He could have also helped us get another goal. Wiles is a battler but he aint a winger.Hopefully when flojo is up to speed he will provide that role.

I thought Crooks did ok first half but seemed to tire a bit second half as did Wiles.

The ideal team for me wiith the 24 man squad we have, assuming everyone fit , in form, and up and running:

    Blackman

    Harding, Icky, Goose, Mattock
Flojo, S mac/ Lyndsey, Barlaser, Miller
    Tree
    Ladapo

I have been impressed with Harding by the way- very solid BUT don't play him at left back it cost us yesterday .

We are always gonna struggle in this league if our team is weakened because our reserves are not as strong a s opposition teams. A point is probably the best we can hope for with a weakened team so we did well yesterday.

One of the reasons we tire in last 20 mins or so is because when we win the ball back we dont seem able to keep it for very long so we are constantly hunting the ball down, and forest did keep the ball well in the 2nd half yesterday.
