Facts are that we beat both Barrow and Harrogate away. How it happened really doesn't matter as there would have been times we didn't win but hit the post etc.
What do you base your suggestion on that we would have lost to Harrogate?
When the season was stopped,
We were on a good run, 4 wins with 11 goals scored
We had beaten Barrow away
We had just won 4 - 0.
So you blame for him appointing Ardley , I agree. He made a huge mistake stacking Nolan, you seem to agree with that.
So that's two mistakes that season from the owner, that leaves just Kewell. You said if he hadn't have been sacked you don't believe we would have been relegated.
So that's 3 big errors from Hardy andddddd you blame Ardley for relegation magic.
The one thing I've never understood fully that season is how you can go from being unlucky in a play off semi final, being back by a chairman to sign two expensive new players in guaranteed goalscorer Dennis and exciting Enzio and then you start the season not only winless in first 5 games. But absolutely hammered in some of them.
From hero to zero and sacked in a summer and 5 games. Can anyone explain that?
Easily explained. The owner made a premature sacking decision, not once but twice.
Out of interest, when Ardley was appointed with more than half a season to go and us within a point or two of safety, did you see relegation as inevitable due to what had gone on before? Or did you think that any semi-competent manager had the time and backing to keep us up?
