I’m not that angry, I don’t want to call the players or manager names.
I don’t think they were gutless or spineless and many of them actually did their best and played to their ability…. And that’s the real problem.
Actually we all knew we were well short in comparison to our competitors…. All of them.
Fulham looked a much more technically capable side than us, and that’s because they are.
I’ve said this before that I’m convinced that our owners are happy to be top 2 championship side. Get promoted but then bank the cash, expect relegation but then go again.
Norwich have the same blueprint .

I do most of the cooking and washing up since I retired. But my wife cooked me a lovely meal tonight, but when she cooks she uses nearly every utensil and piles it it all up in the sink.
Back to the football, after all these years I still get done in the dumps when we play bad and then you see our players smiling coming of the pitch.
We did draw the 2nd half though. Ist goal was ***** tonight.

Well the opposite of gutless is for some of those players to look Bilic in the eyes covered in sweat and say - I gave 100% and worked my balls off. Could some of the players do this?

I don’t mind losing but the manner we lost was equal to Huddersfield away under Pulis. I went to that game - did you? The majority of supporters were sick at the sheer lack of effort. Nobody minds losing but it’s the manner of defeat. Were Fulham much better than us when promoted? No - so why did they outclass us and run their socks off? Sometimes it’s not just talent but the sheer determination to win! We can’t blame the owner for everything!! We know Sawyers and Phillips are consistently poor - so why are they still picked over Grosicki? Bilic wanted Krov, Diangana and Pereira back - why don’t they have that hunger in their eyes?

    Something not right internally!

As I said I’m not angry as my expectation is very low.
To be honest we’ve not had enough fighters in the team for a while now. Too many wilt when any sort of pressure is on them.
We have fallen so far behind in terms of real quality in the last few seasons. As a unit I think we are even inferior to the first Megson promotion side, the defence is certainly worse.
I said we should rejoice at a clean sheet against Burnley, as It may be the only one we get.
Still they are my team and i've supported them in worse times.

If you shop in Poundland, your expectation still should not be low, or as a business if you invest much less than other businesses and your can't compete on say technology, you up your customer service! My expectation is not low of anything in life.

Questions need to be asked - why is Pereira played out of position? Why does Bilic keep selecting players that are consistently poor - Townsend - Sawyers - Phillips - Livermore? Why does there appear to be a personality clash with Bilic over Gibbs and Grosicki when they are better than some of the players mentioned? Why have we not really performed since January?

All these questions are not just the owners fault. I believe if all the above were to be addressed a really good manager can motivate anyone even if quality is lacking!

Seems really odd that a 20 year old loan player in the name of Gallagher is one of very few who wants to fight! Why is that?

Yes, I was at Huddersfield on that particular occasion and without doubt the highlight of the day was the beer, japes and ribaldry in the Gas Club both before and after the game 🍺🍺🍺

Strange and worrying times at The Hawthorns. Some very difficult questions from the PL??? for those at the top to answer - whoever they might be !!!
