I wouldn't touch this betting market with barge pole to be honest - way too close to call in my view.
The polls were spot on in the midterms a couple of years ago, and they weren’t as far out as a lot of people seem to think in 2016. If you don’t take them into account when betting on this market you’re a bit daft imo.

I suppose we’ll soon see if it’s ‘too close to call’. There’s not much evidence of that, and I don’t see any reason why the polls will be that far out. For all Biden’s shortcomings, Trump has been a truly dreadful President.

I haven't invested much time looking into the Biden emails thing, but if the story doesn't even meet Fox News's editorial guidelines then it's probably safe to say there's 'nothing to see here', but it could be as you suggest.

Anyway I doubt they'll have to concoct a scheme to get Biden out; a couple of cognitive slip ups and the Republicans will probably try and invoke the 25th amendment.

To be fair to Trump, he didn't start any wars, though there's still time for him to start one in his own country.

I see the UK is now on severe alert for a terrorist attack.
Couldn't we get Ardley out there to calm everybody down?
Maybe we'd be better if we got Sir Jimmy and Billy McNeil to do it

The best summary I've heard is from James Lindsay who said Trump is the poison that will kill you in a year's time, Biden and then almost certainly Harris (doubt Biden will complete a full term) is the poison that will kill you in ten years' time.

On that basis I'm hoping for a Biden win as at least there'll be time to try to come up with a better solution. Trump's courtship of armed groups and mooted bad faith declaration of victory means he's ticking too many boxes on my '1920s Europe' bingo card and makes him the greater danger IMO.
Well summarised. Scary times. Fingers crossed.

The worrying thing is that Trump needs victory more than Biden as he's so many civil and criminal cases awaiting him, not to mention the small matter of $921m of debt coming due in the next 4 years. He'll do basically anything to win, and that should be worrying regardless of any American's political allegiance. Biden losing would just mean he can head to a hopefully peaceful retirement.

ETA: The FBI is investigating reports of millions of fake robocalls in multiple states encouraging people to stay home and stay safe rather than going out to vote.

Absolutely outrageous, but give it a couple of days and it might seem like jolly japes.

This podcast by Sam Harris talks about the Mueller Report in quite a lot of detail, and it doesn't paint a pretty picture for Mr D Trump as a non-incumbent president.

This is about as comprehensive and accurate an eight-minute summary of the situation as you can possibly hear.

Harris is basically saying that Trump’s a ****, but his appeal is that he doesn’t judge you for being a ****.

I hope tonight marks a milestone in the fight back against the ****s.

And we on NM are all familiar with the 25th amendment, aren't we?

Nope. This is what it means and not sure the person you responded to was alluding to this 🤔 TWENTY-FIFTH AMENDMENT
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress
