Often I have to rerun a film back and then cup my ears with my hands and this makes it clearer, but obviously this isn't an option in the pub or a restaurant, I just have to sit there and try as best I can to understand what's being said, often without much success. But if this makes me keep my mouth shut and not offer an opinion, maybe that's not a bad thing.
Mines the same Sinky. Nothing wrong with the hearing it's just the base what needs turning down and the treble turning up to make the voices clearer. I'm sure these programmes are made in some silly sound mode.

Just think if someone offered you a new car and you didn’t hear it! Or heard nude tart.
Have you both had a hearing test, that’s what I am like without the hearing aids. Think Boots offer free ones if the NHS can’t give you one. NHS aids are quite good, I had an in ear one that stopped working and I lost it, before my next test so they would only give me the heavy duty one, which wasn’t acceptable to me.
A lot of people don’t know I wear them till I flick them round. A few friends got them as a result. I still don’t bicycle bells!!

Here’s an online test I didn’t know existed till just now.
