Piglet. Put four*raspberries in a mortar and crush with a pestle. Scoop the crushed raspberries into a champagne flute then top with 25ml raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord) then top with chilled champagne. RASPBERRY FIZZ Piglet, not a dodgy, skirt-ripping pop group from the 70s. Whatever were you thinking?

Anyway, sorry for the confusion over the Rochdale game, it seems that it changed after I posted the fixtures and thanks to Howoldboy for noticing, which allowed me to notify anyone disadvantaged. Little harm was done in the end.

We have new joint leaders this week, with Frank and Tricky scoring decent 9s in a week where the average was 6.5. Who will come out with the duvet next week? Nobby also got a 9, but top scorer was Claw with an 11 which takes him up 4 places to 15th. Well done. Biggest riser though was Stephen who goes up from 11th to 6th - just shows what getting mid-range scores every week can do. Piglet’s calm rise up the table has been halted this week as he bombed with a 2. The three absentees also suffered as a result, and Davee and Piglet both dropped 3 places. Chalky will continue to drop unless he comes back, which I reckon is a 50/50.

It’s tight in the middle with 5 points covering 9 competitors so it’s time to climb out of our ruts. Form is starting to show so put the pins away and go for it!

    Thanks Griff.

Can you please check Stephen's score.

I had him as a 9 taking him to 54 points.

Yup, quite right and that’ll teach me to do this BEFORE I open the wine bottle. Stephen, apologies and just ignore all my comments. Thanks to Howoldboy and I’ll amend the table.

Sorry piglet, wrong again. The correct answer was Monty. Betts had quite a few pseudonyms and Monty was his nickname. No point.

Another postponed match due to covid after I’d chosen the games, nothing I can do about it and points will be awarded when it’s played. And the game at Eastleigh couldn’t stand the rain and was abandoned, so another for a rearranged fixture.

What a disappointing week; few points scored in total and several games where no points were scored at all - those at Northampton, Sunderland and Carlisle. We weren’t very good overall; the 18 of us this week only managed 8 points between us in the whole of group A. Little wonder then that the average score this week was a measly 2.5.

Joint leader Tricky managed nowt this week, not a sausage, but he’s only fallen one place as a result. Me and Southblue managed 5s which would have been poor any other week but was top score this time. Pete’s 1 moves him down 4 places to unlucky 13th, while Southblue moves up 4 spots to 8th.

Several dodged a bullet this week where poor scores made very little difference to most positions in the table, but it won’t be like that every week. End of term report - must try harder.
