I'd rather not gloat. I'd much prefer all of us to simply be united behind the team for the full match every time. I think we all know that football comes up with magic like today from time to time and that's a big part of why we love it. I know things haven't been 'clicking' for the team of late but it only takes a second to score a goal and goals change games.

    All Notts aren't we?

Poor performance, but winning a game like that is the sort of thing that turns seasons around.

Ardley has to have a long think about his starting lineup next week though.

The degree of negativity and sheer nastiness on this fred is disappointing.
Thank goodness Swaley at least recognises that a game is 90 plus minutes long and doesn't end the minute you go a goal down.
I also recognise that a game is 90 minutes long, which is why I rarely post on a match thread until the game is over because very occasionally it will come back and bite you on the arse. I remember many years ago when we were 3-1 down in an away game and a couple of posters were still urging positivity. One poster* said that if we got anything from the game he would walk to our game at Mansfield in his underwear. We did what we did today and scored two very late goals, and to his credit he carried out his pledge. Today poses as many questions as answers because from most reports it was a fortunate win, and Ardley and his tactics are still questionable. But just when we were resigned to defeat we managed to sneak a win against all the odds. Forest lost as well late on so the inquest can wait, tonight I can only celebrate big time.

    * Does anyone else remember this? I can't remember the game or the poster's username, but I'm pretty sure his actual first name was Drewe.

Yes that rings a bell with me. I also seem to think it may have been Drew but I can't remember the username. Was this in the Rivals days or on here?

I think it was on here. You could be right about Drew rather than Drewe as his name, and I can only think of 'Mr Notts County' as his username but I could be way off the mark there. I'm not even sure of the scoreline, but I'm convinced we scored two very late goals to salvage a point.

Anyone fancy a search on UTM's site to give us an answer?
