DCFC have a decent business model but cannot execute it - investment in academy, comparatively new, expandable premises at a cheap (for now) rent. Just needs to make the step that they haven't managed under Mel

Thats part of the reason for Debenhams failure, but being bought by a private quite company, loaded with debt which was used to fund profits, with no investment in the future may also have played a part!

Nomost folk seem to be impatient for the "good times" to happen and worrying about how long its taking, without understanding the complexit yof the deal!

As others have pointed out, whats being acquired is a club with the infrastructure in place that has the potential for development - excellent training ground, modern stadium, a proven ability to attract 30K plus fans for each game. Whether we are in league 1 or the championship won't make much difference long term.

Rumour taken from another Ram Forum......

Mac is only here for a month (I don't believe that part) AND, much more believable... takeover delayed by the EFL FFP charge being unresolved

I don't like being too pessimistic but every day or even minute of delay is, imo, reducing our chances of getting out of this mess!
Nowt like uncertainty to add fuel to the fire.

My sentiments exactly...agree with MA’s suggestion about the takeover delay, though not, unfortunately, the length of McClaren’s contract.

In that it appears to be delaying the appointment of a new manager then yes up to a point, unless of course the strategy by bringing Mac on board is for him to oversee Rooney, without it being obvious and gauge how results go?

As for the EFl issue affecting the takeover, well its all speculation really, but it wouldn't affect the overall strategy behind the takeover, which sees a club with potential for development over the medium to long term.

I am having doubts this deal will go through now for whatever reason. I really do want Morris to eff off now as he seems to be dragging the club down and down

Agree OTR. The uncertainty is worse than no takeover at all, at least if it's dead in the water then Mel can reassess the situation!

Well according to my information its got nothing to do with the EFL appeal, its to do with sorting out a loan or loans that are outstanding.
