I'm a bit tired of saying 'negative', 'over-cautious' - changing a winning formula, going more defensive, for a home game when you're supposed to be going for a top spot, that's just COWARDLY management.
Ardley sez we deserved to win so that's ok then. The players were tired after all.

We are pants all over the pitch..Turner wouldn't get in my kids side,Doyle must have some incriminating photos of Mr Ardley, Kyle Wooton needs to apply for dancing on ice and Walker... well his name says it all...
We will finish mid table and if you think any different after watching the last two matches you are more deluded than the number one dilusionist (if thats a word) at the world delusion championships...
    Thoroughly PEEED OFF...
    PS. ARDLEY OUT...

Haha he did say they were fatigued. So predictable. Apparently 39 year old Doyle isn't fatigued like 23(?) Year old Rodrigues because he's played 2 games a week for most of his career. The mind boggles.

    I agree with this.

Maybe it's because he's getting stats from football radar all the time? A blessing and a curse perhaps?
Obviously statistics don't win you games. It's the way you use them that matters.

I have to say though, an experienced football manager should be able to see the big picture clearly enough that if you've played a particular formation in the last two games and won with it, you don't change the winning formula, even if you feel obliged by the fitness data to change one or two players.

    12 games played.
Game 12 of the Munto season was the home draw with Torquay United, after which McP was sacked. We're 1 point behind that season now.
As for the Allardyce campaign, one more defeat and we will have lost as many as that team did all season.

No need to panic if you're happy with play offs but after last season there cant be too many who would be confident that we would emerge as the winners at Wembley. This time we would almost certainly have the bulk of the support in the stands, if we made it to the final.

I know what you're saying. How dare it be cold and wet in December and how dare Boreham Wood be competitive?

Surely no manager could overcome obstacles like that.

We look good against the weak as pish, sides, but anyone half decent, especially if they have big players and are direct, mehhhhhhh.

Give Boreham Wood credit, they had three chances in the match and scored one of them - but yet another poor goal to concede from a set piece.

We were great for all of 3 minutes, should have scored twice, and then only really created half chances. Huffed and puffed, but overall very disappointing and easily marshaled by a physical side.

How many times do we have to say it - a pedestrian midfield of Doyle, Reeves and O’Brien is not going to worry anyone. The good news is that Cal Roberts should be back next week, because Walker has been very disappointing after a decent first 45 minutes against Woking.

Wootton needs a rest, too - hopefully Thomas should be back soon to give him some much-needed support.

Now this is a guy I need to hear more from going forward.

Tonight's performance and result should definitely see a surge in familiar posts on the Ardley In/Out thread. Can't wait

I said on Saturday, Notts never kill teams off, and go into the closing stages, with either team able to win, unlike Saturday it went against us tonight

Good job the supporters were not there tonight, as Notts would have been booed off

Same old rubbish, they scored of a set piece, where Notts were not first to the ball, in fact they had 2 headers un challenged, Notts had already had a warning when Boreham Wood fired wide from a header minutes before

A dark grim evening, especially with Stockport , and especially Torquay winning, who we are now 11 points ahead of us
