Yes ok Laddo i can see what your getting at , you are probably right in the sense that Alan Hardy has to accept some of the blame for appointing Ardley in the first place, but the larger proportion of the blame still lies with Ardley poor management skills , in my opinion of course lol

Finally we get there. Happy days

He, the then owner, has to accept some of the blame for all the managerial appointments and sackings as they were ultimately his decision each time.

As identified by many Kewell shouldn't have been sacked, Ardley shouldn't have been appointed. If you agree with that statement it is impossible not to hold the person who made those decision responsible.

The only subjective element that is up for debate is the proportion of blame for everyone involved. But boy do we not need to see cover that ground for the 74th time.

Looking at the Kewell situation in isolation he (Hardy) f%c£ed up big time. He will have cost a lot to hire (compensation) then some more to fire and then replaced him with the wrong man for the job at the time.

Damn you Alan, damn you. Anyway that's all old news, onward and hopefully upward

Basically summing up the post Kewell was better than Ardley , and would have kept us up in my opinion
    Finally!

Nolan: Worse football I've seen at Notts, tactic found out after December, inexperienced and blew a huge budget provided by an inexperienced owner

Kewell: slight improvement in he got some points, but still only a 20% odd win ratio and we will never know

Ardley: Slightly higher win % than Kewell.

What that probably explains is no one could get a tune out of those players: Yes Ardley signed 8, but 3 or or 4 were very young probably cos no one wanted possible non league relegation on their CV, budgetary constraints and the circus under Hardy.

I'm happy with Ardley at the moment, decent football, smaller more competitive squad, in tune with the owners and I don't buy it about bottling big games, he won a play off final.

Ardley's win ratio is 40.9% so double Kewell's. According to Wiki that is.

So it's OK for you to call Ardley that 'because he is'

But when someone says something against you, you cry foul!

I regularly see one of the players from that time (who was released during the summer after the play-off defeat against Coventry) who says the signings we made were all Hardy's choice rather than Nolan's, which pretty much confirms your view. Hardy signed them and Nolan had to try and fit them into a team.

More shots fired at our former owner.

Looks like he played a really expensive game of football manager. He could have just brought it for £34.99 like everyone else.
