I've seen, in various online places, people bemoaning the fact that we managed no shots on target and saying "we are crap". Totally ignoring the fact that we had as many shots on target as high flying Brentford.

Very pleased with the result. Even more pleased that, like us, they left their shooting boots at home. Their most glaring miss was Mbeumo's in the second half. He really ought to have hit the target and, had he realised that he was totally unmarked, he could/should have controlled first and then shot with the goal at his mercy. He had more than enough time.

Apart from a couple of other dodgy defensive moments, the overall performance was acceptable. We might have nicked it as well. Jozzy hit the post. Lawro 2 shots deflected for corners and a 3rd blocked, he even put in some good defensive work. Has a spell on the bench done the trick? Time will tell.

Worried about the Davies injury. Going on the Brian Clough premise of picking players for what they CAN do rather than dropping them for what they can't do, he has more than justified his place in the side. On the ball he seems to be choosing the safe option, in the main, which is good for ball retention. I hope it's not serious but I fear we will have to do without him for a while.

Going into this game with home games against Stoke and Swansea up next, I would have been happy with 3 points against 3 top 7 sides. Last night's point is a good start. Looking further in December, IMO, we really need at least 5 points from the games against Rotherham, PNE and Brum. Will we get them? Time will tell.

Equally pleased here. Much as Lawrence frustrates me I’d start him on sat as Holmes last night just seemed lightweight. MOM Shinnie, but is a suspension every seven games or so a price worth paying for that aggression? If we are grumbling imagine how they feel! Just hope Marshall’s imitation of Hans Gruber falling from the Nakatomi Tower isn’t a trend

A point well made, MA. Seen Brentford take two or three sides apart this season. We got lucky once or twice but so did they.
Just hope Bielik and CKR can stay fit as the games keep coming. They’ve both made a huge difference imo, but the former seemed to disappear in the second half last night.
