ok so going on reports from members on twitter it seems the AGM has raised some financial concerns, a few people commenting on how emotional Ogren was and another vote soon to release more money.

Not seen any more than just a few guys commenting but doesnt sound good

Not surprising to hear this and I’m sure similar conversations are being held in boardrooms across the country. No gate money coming in, I’d imagine much lower amounts of sponsorship coming in, no hospitality income, no monies being raised through dinners etc. And all the while Mr O will be watching his bank balance dwindle as he props up the business. Might be a good idea for the club to figure out how much they are losing per month and put out an appeal for financial support to the supporters and groups affiliated to the club, no point waiting until the wolf is in the room.

Yes our owner seems to have some business issues to deal with as well. Seems we are determined to see out season out of bottom 2. dont blame them. An appeal for support would be a good idea. I will pledge £100 a goal this season lol fvck it £100 per shot on goal

With today’s announcement of £20m available in loans to Scottish Premiership, this could be perfect timing for a group such as the Foundation to step up and offer to cover the repayments of the amount United would need to see them through the season, in return for a seat on the board. Would Mr O would be agreeable to something like that given the financial crisis? Would the Foundation be willing to take on something like this? Could be a win win for everyone connected with the club, United get a much needed cash injection, the Foundation could see a massive increase in uptake with membership and alsoget the seat on the board they crave and the supporters affiliated to the Foundation pick up the tab. Or is this too fantastical an idea?

Ye know what, much as this is all a problem and a huge one at that, if Wiggy up the road had done the decent thing a few year back and voted to change the SPL voting structure then the entire league would by now be getting a more equitable share of the league placing prize money that the duopoly in the top two (which Wiggy propped up) now continue to get and will do now in perpetuity. Maybe Cormack up the road should consider this FACT when bleating away about reduced Covid incomes for all the Clubs.
