Hey lads, why are we still talking about the BBS on here ?.
They have apparently made it clear what they think about our board and us as fans, so does it or rather do they, really matter anymore.![]()
People tend to reply quicker on the BBS because more people use it. Depending on what mood I'm in I can get bites a bit quicker not that I'm a WUM but I do get a bit giddy at times. Nudger used to take exception to my jokes about lycra clad blokes on the Transpennine trail![]()
Not heard of that theory.
But it’s a problem - and it’s a problem that can’t be solved.
In my opinion it is totally wrong to use those derogatory terms - but telling certain groups they can’t use certain words, but others can, is not dealing with people equally.
Now we have this thing of bending the knee.
If individuals are found to be prejudice then they need to be brought to task about it.
But bending the knee is continually putting the spotlight on BAME people.
IMO - that action is segregating people more than it is bringing them together.
When Morgan Freeman was asked about racism he said ‘stop talking about it’.
Which includes of course - while ever there are actions that highlight problems - then those problems are likely to remain.
As for my mention of the BBS.
The comments I made in the initial post were comments I’ve made previously on the BBS.
I’ve waited about 24 hours to see what the response would be on here.
And it’s been a good one.
Im sort of pointing out the differences here - because you could NOT have this discussion on the BBS.
And clearly they don’t want members of this message board to have a discussion about racial issues either - hence their remarks about this message board re: Millwall booing.
If tha puts O/T in front of thi thread Nudge , like most do when it's not abart footy it may help , some may ignore it some may respond , in general on here and some other forums it causes friction , things took wrong rooard etc , carry on if tha wants it's thy choice , dunt gerrupset tho if nubdi joins in , ez thi Whisky all gon nar afta last neets matchad a tipple missen afoor fetha , hard deserved 3 points last neet ,
Nudge, dun't involve us in points scoring abart BBS.
Some on BBS may wish to attack fellow Reds on TykesMad ovva various things but, in the main, mooast on here cuddant give a shiny sh1te abart wot they say abart TykesMad. Let them rant, insult or try to be sarcastic. All a bit sad and petty really.
As SB points out nobody gives a shyte what gets posted on other forums as most are comfortable in their own beliefs and skin on here .
Personally I think immigration is fine just as long as it's controlled and isn't mass immigration as we've seen whilst members of the EU .
I want my town to still be the place culturally it always as been whilst accepting immigration in a controlled manner .
I don't wish to see my town become something it isn't today , I'm culturally fine with it how it is .
People who are generally for multiculturalism often move around far more across the country or even europe but many other people don't and it's often understated that they want to see their communities remain as they always have because it's their home , their workplace and where they have family or start ones .
I believe the BLM is a bad vehicle for speaking out against racism but many other groups do a fine and credible job .
I've voted Labour all my life but didn't vote for them in 2019 and until they start looking out for people in communities such as ours it's unlikely I'll ever vote for them again although I'd never vote for the Tories either .
That's all I have to say and I'm comfortable saying it .
