My dad was a fitness fanatic. Gym user, did not drink and was an anti smoking zealot. He did not eat fried food and kept his weight down to what was recommended for a man his build and age etc. He was dead at 49 riddled with cancer. His brother went the same way but lived a few years longer. My gran and aunty on my mothers side smoked all their life into their 80's. My aunt actually stopped smoking aged 90 as she said I'm not paying that for cigarettes. My mate last year phoned me and said the doctor had just told him he had about 6 weeks to live. Up until a routine blood test he had no idea he was ill. He was dead in 8 weeks. You may think you are fit and well but you can have sh*t going on inside of you that you are completely unaware of.

You are bang on Joy! Lots of people who are healthy think they are immortal. I was healthy and fit and rarely ever saw a doctors surgery in my life until I had a shock this year which is not even linked with family genes! Let’s just say I won’t see West Brom play in Europe in my life time!

I have never said i thought i was immortal, just that up to yet i have had a healthy happy life, and i think some of it is down to not having many worries and yes luck.
But I think positive people have good luck more than moaners who seem to pick up all types of things.
The brain can be a healer too, your brain controls your body and how it works.
    Good vibes stimulate your organs.
I believe that in years to come people will be able to self heal from some things. Most living organisms can self heal to a certain extent. We have lost that ability due to everyday life and believing what we read on tins.
Mind over matter or faith it's called, we only use a fraction of our brain and some people don't use theirs at all.😀
Faith is just another way of saying thinking positive.
Come on boy's you know I'm right, remember the old saying, talk of the devil and he's sure to appear.😈

    Des,

I’ve just come back from my afternoon run with a pulled calf muscle and a back spasm 😫

I have visions of you huddled around your fire in Kingswinford sticking pins into a MickyD lookalike doll!

Give it a rest FFS I’m in penury here⚰️😫

Did you ever see the quote by a Chinese doctor on FB Mick?
"Running won't make your heart last any longer, it's good for so many beats and then that's it. It's like driving a car fast to make it last longer. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
    🙂

My GP said when over 60 - you will live a long life if you alleviate stress - drink in moderation red wine, and continue to have lots of ***! When I worked in Benidorm there was lots on Saga holiday ( very happy oldies ) who were creeping out of strangers rooms! Good luck to them!
