    Ivanovic.

In my opinion he has to be left out of tonight's starting eleven. He really is showing his age. Not only is he lacking in pace but he is making far too many mistakes as was seen with Newcatle's early goal. I realise that Bartley is unavailable but why not give our younger central defenders a chance as they can't do any worse, whether we play a back four or five. I realise that it will be a tough ask tonight but what have we got to lose. We really do miss Hegazi!!

Sadly, the reasons you give, showing his age and lacking in pace, this is why he's with us. If the bloke was anything like the player he was he'd be with a top club. Another one to add to the list we've accumulated over the years of those getting one final pay day.

His legs have gone and lets be honest about this, if he was still anything like the player we saw playing for Chelsea then he would not be with us. Of all the older established players we have signed over the years probably only Giles and McCauley could be termed as a great bit of business. But I can think of a load of washed up players we have signed picking up a wage and giving back F. all.

Simon Garner banged a few in for us. When he wasn't smoking, eating pies and sinking pints 😊 .

Aguero might be back tonight so it’s curtains!! Livermore and Austin could start and if so they could cause damage!!!

    To the changing room wall!

I was pleased to see Ivan arrive at the club. I consider his experience in organising the defence would be beneficial and instructive to Bartley, AJ and O’Shea. That is still relevant, but his playing fitness and age is taking its toll against Premiership strikers. Time for him to maybe do a Terry and coach from the bench.
