    Should Jockeys Take The Knee?

God forbid this was not football as jockeys would have been made to take the knee and it would be BBC main headlines: In Dinglehampton too

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has apologised after a runner was allowed to compete under a racially offensive name at the weekend and said it would review the process by which names are approved.

The three-year-old filly's name, "Jungle Bunny", a derogatory term for a Black person, was missed by the BHA and sparked uproar on social media ahead of the race at Wolverhampton on Saturday.

The BHA later said the name had since been changed and they were reviewing their procedures for filtering out offensive names.

"Racist language is not tolerated in our sport, whether intentional or accidental," a BHA spokesperson was quoted as saying by British media.

"We have taken steps to ensure the horse was renamed immediately. It is now called Jungle Bells. This will be reflected in records of the race result and horse form.

How could we tell the difference.

They’re only about 4 feet tall when stood on tiptoes.

I can understand the outcry about this name but should there equally be an uproar about an horse called " Honky Tonk Sally " or what about " Call Me Ginger " and there's even one called " Snowflake ".

Seems the usual one sided fingers pointing again!

I thought it was a joke al until I googled it. The first thing I found was 'jungle bunny' sung by rapper Kele. If I sang along to them lyrics Im sure I would be accused of something or other.

It's okay for a black person to call a white person a white honky, which is calling us a white pig, but that's just a bit of fun isn't it?
Personally I think because they haven't much history of their own they want to erase our's.
I have never had a problem with black people but i can go off folk very quickly.

When “ Live Thy Neighbour “ was on TV in the 70’s and Rudolf Walker was playing the part of the black neighbour he referred to Jack Smethhurst as “ white honky “ and “ snowflake “ amongst other racial terms.

I wasn’t the least bit offended and I told remember Mary Whitehouse having anything to say in the matter albeit she had other things on her mind such as Linda Lovelace swallowing c o c k in “ Deepthroat “.

In these days before mind control became fashionable l, as a mid ****ager, thought of Jack Smethurst’s character and Alf Garnett as complete buffoons.......the joke was always on them, they were made to look like the comedy idiots they were.

This is something the present generation and the PC brigade don’t get, the joke was always the stupidity and ignorance of the white bloke.
