It was a tough game and Stockport had pretty much all the ball last 20-25 minutes, BUT they never looked like scoring.

Rawlinson was MOM for me but the whole TEAM from the front defended well.

Keep that level up and we'll beat lots of teams as most are nowhere near the standard of Stockport.

I thought Boreham Wood were better than stockport, they certainly posed more problems...or did we just do something better last night?

If we had took the lead early against BW, then perhaps the game would have been like last night.

Anyone know the reason for there not being any matches in the National league next Saturday, L1 & L2 have a full fixture list.

It's a great question. We did a fair few things right last night but the obvious main thing was to stop Stockport playing. We limited a side who beforehand were averaging 2 goals a game to 2 proper chances. That's very impressive, defend that well against others and one of our attacking players (when all fit) should do the business singlehandedly to earn us the points more often than not.

I feared a little when I saw the lineup with the 3 ageing musketeers in midfield but that was a very satisfying performance, a deserved win and a lot of the credit has to go to the manager for his plan/approach/tactics adopted. Maybe Ardley is a lot better setting up and preparing for the better teams in the league hence the results last season and this.

**** me laddo, practice what you preach. When we lose & people are giving out about the manager you defend him saying its the players fault. Win & it's all Ardley spin.
Not a bad performance last night. Evenly balanced 1st half, Stockport on top 2nd but never posed too much of a problem
My issue would be playing the ball out the back when defending, nearly got caught twice Doyle in plenty of space trying to chip one of theirs, did it put Reid in early doors? Passing for the sake of passing when better options are there.Another was Rodriugez was on the left in room waving for the ball, maybe a bit harsh but these are professionals, even kids are told to look up. Think Rodders won't be here too long, looks too classy for this league. Brilliant ball for the goal
