Not a bad performance last night. Evenly balanced 1st half, Stockport on top 2nd but never posed too much of a problem
My issue would be playing the ball out the back when defending, nearly got caught twice Doyle in plenty of space trying to chip one of theirs, did it put Reid in early doors? Passing for the sake of passing when better options are there.Another was Rodriugez was on the left in room waving for the ball, maybe a bit harsh but these are professionals, even kids are told to look up. Think Rodders won't be here too long, looks too classy for this league. Brilliant ball for the goal
People were saying that about Roberts in the summer.

I may have missed it but that’s the first comment I’ve seen praising the pass from Rodrigues to play Brindley in for the goal. Of course, Brindley did really well but the vision from Rodrigues was equally good...the commentators didn’t really touch on it.

He still has much to prove, but he can clearly play, and also tacked back a lot last night and got some tackles in...a real find it would seem.

So are we now saying Ardley deserves all the credit for the effort the whole team put in last night, because if we are I'm in agreement. There have been many (me included) moan that he is incabable of getting a team fired up to play in a big game like this, hopefully last nights performance allays those concerns somewhat because those players would have not only worked that hard for themselves but the manager also.

Well that's just a bizarre response. There is next to no spin in my post. In fact I've just echoed what a few others have already stated about the manager getting the tactics spot on and rare credit should head his way.

I defend against the ridiculous statements that come out when we fail to win a game, you know all about those. No need to get your pitchfork out lad we won.

Full of spin. What ridiculous statements then? Why is the pitchfork out?

If it was in the premier league some would say defence splitting ball between the full back & centre half

Whilst you are doing that I'll have a read through some of the comments during the match I'm sure there are yet more (negative) beauties in there. Desperately trying to highlight the bad and ignore the good. Always entering to read after a victory

Plus I'm sure I will spot a definite change in tone from soon
I'm going back to work. You make me pi$s myself with that statement. I wasn't even on last night.
Your spining it that wining is always Ardleys doing but losing you blame the players on the pitch when posters blame Ardley.
Who is highlighting the bad & ignoring the good?
I have mentioned a weakness that causes our own problems & praised a player that i think we will be lucky to hold on to

See I now know you are just on the windup. You nearly got me Pete.

Yep you are right when we lose or even draw the blame is always equal between player and manager on here. Very balanced , no agenda the players get their fair share of blame and never concentrated on the boss lol

It was an intelligent, probing pass, but it should have been the defender's ball all day long. Instead of booting it clear, he pissed around like we've often done in the past and allowed Brindley to take it off him.
