    Bilic statement

    Top guy.

    SLAVEN BILIC STATEMENT

I am hugely disappointed to have left West Bromwich Albion.

I am honoured to have managed this unique football club with full commitment and integrity. I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to all the players, my hard-working coaching team and our dedicated staff.

I am incredibly proud that we secured automatic promotion from the Championship in our first season.

It was a real shame to not have our loyal supporters there with us during that moment and upon our return to the Premier League.

In what has been a really difficult year for so many, those special fans have stood alongside us throughout it all. My staff and I are grateful for having had the privilege to serve them.

They would have enjoyed some of our excellent performances where the team showed how much they wanted us to succeed.

Ultimately, I am sad that it hasn’t worked out in the way we wanted. But I leave with my head held high, along with some wonderful memories that I will always cherish.

I’m sorry that I cannot say goodbye to you all properly at The Hawthorns. I genuinely wish the club well for the future.

Top man, pity that lai, Dowling and co aren’t as genuine and sincere, those prat’s need to hang there heads in shame, I don’t give a monkeys how Allerdyce does, the sooner we get rid of the dinosaur the better, Rather watch decent football under Bilic than the hoof ball that is to come.

I’m not ready to castigate Fat Sam’s Football before we even see it.

His Bolton sides played some decent stuff and had some very fine players in their line up.

To be fair to the bloke he’s usually had to work a miracle with limited talent.

People talk about “character/morals” but have selective memory when it suits their narrative.

I liked Bilic on a personal level but ask the French and Laurent Blanc what they think of him for his blatant act in the 98 World Cup.

There’s plenty of incidents on YouTube showing how dodgy Slav could be as a character 😆😆

Top bloke. Just a great shame it ended in the manner it did as he deserved much better. According to several reports It seems that the club approached a potential target to takeover who when he lost out to Sam, his agent leaked the story. It's naive to think most if not all clubs don't work in the same way but I think some people need to look at themselves when they act like total scumbags as it was sad how Slaven had to deal with the last 12 or so hours.

As nice a guy as Bilic seems and I was prepared to give him this season his record of wins once football restarted minus fans in the Championship and the thir**** games in the Premiership is abysmal. And its not like some of the games were a case of losing but we played some great stuff. Some of the performances were abject to say the least, so it should come as no surprise that he has gone. As for Sam its a clean slate for me and I am prepared to give him the chance to build something worth watching. He is not Pullis and he is not against flair players but he does insist on hard graft, running and getting the ball forward quicker. That does not mean long ball tactics. The times last season there were quick breaks on and the ball went backwards or sideways. That for me is just as boring as hoof ball.

Super, super chap. Was not backed so was always likely to fail. I seriously wish Slaven the very best of luck in the future. He will no doubt return to the Hawthorns and haunt us in the future. Very best of luck for the future fella.

Was good while it lasted. Great character - somehow he fitted in well at the Albion. Fans loved him. Some great memories from last season. But we have not been playing well since March. The team was his - Grant and Diangana were his choices and we spent good money. Some strange selections and subs. We could have been more gracious in his sacking .... but hey he is on a good packet and will be fully paid up.

So welcome Big Sam. Will not pre-judge. For sure he will organise our defence. His old Bolton side used to have some flair players amongst the grafters. I don’t put him in the Pulis category. And let’s face it he was England manager ... for a short while. Let’s give him a chance. With Bilic we were nailed on to be relegated.
