Come on - the lunge was over the top of the ball and dangerous so intent and had it connected he would have broken his leg.

Regardless a bright Premier professional would not have risked such a needless challenge. Livermore though is a slow championship player off his pace at this level like Sawyers. Had Livermore or Sawyers got the attributes of Gallagher - hunger - desire - vision - determination and eye for a pass our midfield would be half decent!

I think Gallagher is quite capable of a tackle like Livermores from what I've seen. He's committed. Livermore can be very committed. You see it the way you see it and that's fine. Its just not the way a lot of us see it. Btw Livermore was retrieving the ball not kicking it out of play. To do that you have to get your foot over the ball to drag it back.

Do you know what, I've just looked at the highlights on the West Brom site. Brilliant tackle from Livermore. Grealish DIVED for the penalty. Dragged his left foot went down. NO CONTACT. Penalty given. It didn't have the Hause tackle on the highlights but you could see Diangana's leg buckle. Very nasty. We have been done again by officialdom. That's how I see it. Should have been No red card, No penalty, sending off for Villa. How different would that have changed things?

The way I saw it was Villa dominated from the first minute and cut through our midfield like a knife through butter. Had Livermore stayed on as he’s poor - we would still no doubt of lost.

I hate Villa but they have far more quality than we can dream about. Don’t like Grealish because of his antics but wow - we don’t have a player like him that comes close to his quality!

Facts are - Villa have gone forwards and we have gone backwards! Villa looked comfortable all over the pitch and we were embarrassing!

A fair tackle. Took the ball. End of.

Today’s game has ne resemblance to the game that many of us grew up with. If I had the choice of going back to football do 60’s & 70’s I would. It was a better game with better players and better rules. It all gone soft now and my interest in the game is at an all time low. Rarely watch it now.

I also don’t think the sheff utd player sent off against Brighton should of gone either

He was the stronger player in a block tackle as he moved the ball his follow through connected with the Brighton’s players foot causing him to jump up into the air scream and roll around on the floor

    Fair tackle play on

Just seen the tackle by Hause on Diangana ...... how he avoided being sent off is beyond me ..... very lucky not to have broken his ankle with that ..... maybe it wasn’t intended but my god it was so late ..... absolute disgrace. Livermore probably deserved to go as well .... although as many have pointed out ..... he never actually touched Grealish ..... Without VAR both would have been yellow cards _which was the refs original decisions. When I think of the Perreira sending off recently for flicking out his leg and the guy rolling around like he’s been mortally wounded ..... Refs seem to have lost all perspective ..... when a petulant but NOT dangerous reaction is punished more heavily than a leg breaking tackle .... then we are truly lost .....
