Thread: Motherwell today

    Motherwell today

Well gents, todays usually one of my favourite fixtures for meeting up with everyone for festive drinks but never mind

Same team and tactics for me please. He's absolutely no reason to change anything

Speaking with a few SSB's and Huns here the 'well parked the bus against both but cant see them doing that against us, might be quite an open game

Settle for a 1-0, as long as its a win

Same type of team we're up against again so no reason to change anything from the Killie game.

If Butcher hasn't shaken off the injury then Pawlett in for him.

What if we don't change anything & we lose does that mean we'll have to change something for the next game? What is it we're changing anyway, was that like dropping your top scorer for the Killie game in an effort to win? Seems a little illogical to me tho to be fair I don't watch much Sky football. That's where it belongs, in the f'n sky.

So the change in formation didn't give us more width, no? Two attacking full backs and two wingers didn't give us more width? Your head is in the sky if you don't think formations make a difference, sorry.

If manager drops top scorer even though he has not scored for three games and tries something else and we get beat can maybe see why you would be complaining. If he drops top scorer to try something else and you'r two strikers both score and you win match can't really see a lot to complain about?

They're in poor form however their away form isn't as bad as their home form lately. They don't seem to create too much though. Another great chance of three points.

Same team, same formation. Keep the width. No need to change anything. Winning breeds confidence, so let's keep it going.

'Formations' are flexible ThEaRaB, so much so they are no longer formations. 'Formations' are Sky's position maps for the benefit of Sky subscribers & Sky 'pundits' who haver ****e. I see the game about to kick off at Ibrox has a 4-3-3 playing against a 4-1-4-1. Could be intriguing

But then we'll need to change something if we don't win?
I wonder what did we won the league with in 1983?

So if we play 352 we can easily change it to 442 with the same effect because its flexible? No we can't, not without making the necessary substitutes to suit the formation. Three centre halves don't fit into a back four. Three centre mids don't fit into two centre mids and two wingers.

Formations were around long before Sky Sports. 😉

We'll change it if the performances of certain players aren't good enough, yes.
