    That gave me a giggle.
RIP Jum, he was some manager, we all have to agree on that.

100%. What he done with the joots was unprecedented. He was some manager to elevate them to that level.

RIP Jim McLean. From a different era, notable exploits in Europe and managing one of the few teams to break the old firm stranglehold on the game.

Never did like him but I certainly respected him. Like Fergie he at least had the bottle to take on the 2 clubs which were once known as the old firm. Mind yon iconic picture after their semi final 2nd leg in Rome when they were cheated out of a final place.

Unlikely to see his like again
Put the Glasgow press in their place
Put the Glasgow teams in their place
Put the fear of God into his team but deep down thats because he demand such high standards
Occasionally put us in our place
Loved the old away games at Tannadice when he was in charge you never knew what UTD team would turn up such a tight fixture
    RIP Jim

Bit of history revision there, I'd respectfully suggest.

His achievements at United deserve respect but I recall a myriad of big games against the cheeks when their bottle crashed.

My take was, that was why the weegia loved McLean's United and hated us.

They were never seen as a threat.........we were.

This. They seemed to enjoy taking points off us more than the Auld Infirm and were beloved of the weegia for the very same reason. That said, a fantastic European record and, on their day, great to watch. RIP.

Jim McLean was a very decent manager. He certainly had respect for our team and our very talented manager at the times where we and them didn’t wave the white flag to the 2 biggest clubs in the country. RIP Jim McLean.

Let’s face it, anyone that could elevate that sh1te to being the biggest club on their street for a few years, must’ve been a genius. I didn’t like him, can’t stand his club & think his supporters are all total bell ends but there’s no doubting his talent. RIP

I don't really get the ill feeling towards them or Jim McLean. He liked us apparently.
