Thread: Who do we buy in January?

Who do we buy in January?

We need a leader, someone who can kick arse, someone who can put a tackle in...Oh for a Derek Mc Innes, Yacob or Mulumbu, even an Andy Johnson, all far superior to the dregs we have now.

    Pointless.

Clear as many as we can off the wage bill and start afresh in the summer by buying in youngsters who are fit and hungry.

I heard Mohammed Salah is longing for ”a southern move” - well, West Bromwich is south of Liverpool... 😇

Im not ready to throw the towel in at the moment. Its hard to get promoted and we need to try our best as there is still a slim chance the club can survive if we are ALLOWED to recruit well in January. That’s probably around 4/5 players !

It all depends on what the chairman wants and that’s all down to finances. He will have worked out the best option for him, he may well see spending good money after bad an even worse prospect than relegation.

It will take the greatest’s of escapes needing a Dunkirk spirit and characters similar to the dirty dozen and the magnificent seven.

Just because our present lot ( Including Lai ) don’t have any guts im not letting them bring me down !.

WE ARE ALBION WE ARE ALBION

Rise up and blast the players and the board on social media, let them know!
Ive spent 1 hr today giving them dogs

Its really hard to quantify fully. This is the most unquantifiable season of all seasons. For example no fans. The difference that has made to us is huge. I know the other teams have the same problem but now we have home fans sometimes depending on Tier restrictions. That gave Liverpool an unfair advantage and yet we spoil their record with a draw. A team top of the table who were thrashed 7-2 at one point! We have let 5 in three times but two of those were with 10 men, mainly because of VAR taking acception to the slightest once ignored human reaction, Human but not dangerous, and even no contact not dangerous. Ok that word "intent", well in normal circumstances if you don't kill someone you don't go to jail (Yellow card sufficient most of the time, as it used to be) My biggest problem I have with the team isn't ability its BELIEF/DESIRE which is switched on then remarkably absent for the next match, this means we cant play really well two matches running, and as in the Leeds game can't even string two passes together. Off go the players all smiles as they talk to the Leeds players as they leave the pitch. I'd personally like to see anger/shame/embarrassment, something at least worthy of the performance. Maybe its really hard these days to get players with an inner toughness? I think we have a board and team that doesn't really love this club. It looks like they loved the idea of promotion but don't mind too much about going down either.
They have to believe, be consistent, and build some momentum. To be fair though we all knew that If we went up we would be doing it on a shoe string AGAIN. Only new forward looking owners with money to spend can change that.
