I was devastated for a minute......I thought you meant Sally from Coronation Street!

Dear old Lewis, he only realised he was black when one of the new F1 drivers told him they didn’t want their windscreen washed!

Talk about an opportunist with all this BLM b o l l o x........being black REALLY held you back didn’t it Lewis!?

He’s totally missed the point.......the very fact he’s risen to be one of the top drivers in F1 history whilst being a black boy from humble beginnings in Stevenage is what he should be preaching.

He should stand on that platform rather than on the racist BLM agenda.

Great, great driver but he’s taken a bad turn in my opinion this year.

Nothing for me again from Liz in this latest honours list.......then again, I’m white and I pay s h I t loads of tax so the chances are vanishingly slim!

    Absolutely.

It somehow demeans those more worthy recipients.

A knighthood for Hamilton and only an MBE for Jimmy Greaves?! Well that about tops off a **** year what an insult to the latter.

If a white racing driver told white people not to go into shop's owned by black people he would have been stripped of his titles, banned from racing and maybe even been charged with inciting racial hatred.
Rightly so. But Hamilton gets a knighthood.
    Disgraceful.

Just goes to show how pathetic the honours system is. Not so long ago there was a photograph of Lewis Hamilton sunning himself on ‘Sir’ Philip Green’s luxury yacht; nice company he keeps.

Whoever writes for BBC Sport should really check their piece before submitting

I don’t think that Hamilton can be classed as a great driver, for most of his F1 career he has had by far and away the best car; most ‘races’ are boring processions and reliability now means that retirements are few and far between. There are now many, many more races in a season than in years past so when these factors are combined, you can see how he has amassed so many wins. A lot of the circuits are now very similar; flat boring concrete bowls. I suspect that many of the other F1 drivers on the grid would win most of the races if they had Hamilton’s car. I just don’t believe that Lewis Hamilton is in the same league as the likes of Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Juan Manuel Fangio or Stirling Moss. Today’s F1 races, in my opinion, are nothing like the test that the Grands Prix used to be.

I was told by someone whose father worked all his life for Renault, in the pit-stop for all the major F1 races all over the world, and was privy to who was who in the racing world and who were up and coming drivers, and that person said that Hamilton, because he was black was given preferential treatment and all the help needed to further his career, at the expense of young drivers who were in fact better than him at that age. It seems black privilege also exists, not just white.

I know someone who has been involved in motor sport for over 30 years. They also know a lot of people involved in the running of the sport. They said exactly the same thing about Hamilton. It was because he was black he got the breaks.

They said Ron Dennis supported him from an early age but Hamilton rarely gives him credit. Hamilton got given help and privilege every which way despite the story he chooses to spout.

It’s really dispiriting that there are so many people doing good unselfish work who could be be knighted but this racist buffoon gets one when the political agenda he peddles despised so much about our society.
