Coming home from that replay, was my lowest ebb as a Derby fan, we'd failed to lift a winding up order earlier that day and many of us felt that only by reaching the final at Wembley, could the club be saved from extinction. The nature of the goal that beat us didn't help, direct from a corner, Cherry in goal was never forgiven by many, just like Keogh many years later. Having said that, if it hadn't been for Cherry's wonder save in the first game, there wouldn't have been a replay. He didn't help his cause with various comments quoted by the media, after he left the club.

That's uncanny Ram, I felt exactly the same walking away from that game. The only slight difference is I actually felt WORSE at 4;40 the following saturday when the final whistle fell on what appeared to be Jaka Banovic 0 Brighton 3, I mention the rubber-faced Aussie keeper because he was the only Rams player who appeared to give a **** that afternoon.

    Grim times

You two do realise that this is the ‘Covid’ thread and you’re still moping about something that happened nearly forty seven years ago don’t you?

Sorry RA, I got side tracked. It looks like we're going to be in lockdown until the vaccinations take effect, let's hope that this is something that the government and/or others don't mess up. Hopefully, the over 80s will have been vaccinated by the end of this month and have some kind of immunity by the middle of February. That will reduce by more than 50% the number of people needing hospital treatment and with healthcare staff being in the same tranche, enable the hospitals get back to normal staffing levels, even if 90,000 short, Swale.

Targeting 2 million jabs a week is a big call - let's hope they get close

No worries, just made me laugh. I share your hopes.

Ah he is, but risk averse people take risks thinking they are not actually taking a risk! personally just going on a plane seems to me like not the brightest idea in the middle of a pandemic and to date teachers have not been an occupation that has had a high level of infections either!

Hmmm...is that so? Like how people who are capable of making very astute observations can resort to childish tantrums and talk bollux even when they don’t know they’re talking bollux, you mean?

The ‘gearing’ benefit of upping to 2million combined with the 9 week increased gap between jabs is so great they MUST go balls out for 2m

We start vaccinating tomorrow and yesterday saw a change in the priority list for who gets them first.

ICU staff, Covid ward staff, A&E staff, care home staff, nurses and carers in the community and GPs are now top of the list. Sensible as they all come in daily contact with multiple vulnerable people.

Next up are care home residents followed by the elderly and at risk groups.

That leaves the healthy 18s to 50s at the back of the queue.

Pregnant women and those giving breast feeding won't be given the vaccine until they have given birth or stopped giving bitty, whichever happens latest. The reason being the vaccine hasn't been knowingly tested on members of either group.

I've still not heard anything on policy for minors. I suspect they won't be vaccinated as, like with pregnant/nursing women, the vaccine hasn't been tested on them.

With regard to the 2nd jab, the Chief Medical Officer of Pfizer was on a Dutch chat show last night and said that the company still recommends having the 2nd jab 3 weeks after the first one...... probably merely covering his, and the company's, arses.
