I'm glad we don't have another world war cause we can't even stop in and watch Netflix for 10 months nevermind do anything more for the greater good.
I feel for you mate, I really do. I know a bloke, the same age as me who's just come out of a coma and is hopefully on the road to recovery. Just like me, he had no underlying health issues yet when I got covid, it hardly touched the sides....it's so indiscriminate. I can only imagine how terryfying it must be for the elderly and people like your good self. Stay safe fella.

Thanks mate, like you say it's difficult as for alot of people it won't be bad if they got it so I can see why some have got tired of the restrictions. Some of my friends won't get the vaccine either which is obviously their choice but does make it difficult until I can get vaccinated which shouldn't be too long hopefully after what he said last night. I'm just tired of people moaning about the lock down, it is what it is, people just need to get on with it and keep their chin up. I hope you and your family keep well though.

GERMAN Chancellor Angela Merkel faces a mounting backlash over her decision to block a bid by European health ministers to secure large orders of the coronavirus vaccine last year.

Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine begins rollout in the UK
A leaked letter has shown Mrs Merkel personally intervened in the vaccine debate, by stopping German, French, Italian and Dutch health ministers from ordering more stocks of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine last summer. The EU now faces a shortage in the supply of COVID-19 vaccines, with European leaders under pressure to speed up the mass vaccination programme.
German newspaper Bild published a leaked letter from the four European health ministers to Ursula von der Leyen where they agreed to hand over control of vaccine orders to the European Commission.
In doing so, they stopped attempting to order more stocks of vaccine, despite having already secured 400million doses of Oxford University’ Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
The four ministers had tried to get enough vaccine doses for all Europeans.
The newspaper claims the letter was written under pressure from Mrs Merkel, who wanted to send a signal of solidarity at the start of Germany’s six-month EU presidency, which started in July 2020.
... nothing like a spot of unity, is there ...

    Where did I say that?

I meant that how is it a national lockdown? Telling us we have to stay at home, but keep garden centres open, takeaways till 11 at night etc. Looks to me like a way to say 'U-turn on schools' in a more acceptable way.

I never said it was, but he is behind Starmer (and everyone else).

At the time though of national crisis, we need strong leadership with a PM in control. Has he learned nothing from the last 9 months?

Boris Johnson learned nothing in the previous 55 years except how to act in the best interests of Boris Johnson, expecting him to start picking things up in 9 months is asking a lot.

People should obviously stick to the rules and be responsible but it would massively help if we had a credible government, not one that said schools were safe on a Sunday and then shut them for 2 months on a Monday.

You don’t cite your source, but without checking I’ll guess, the Express?

Sadly, having now seen how Starmer operates, I am of the opinion that he is also not a leader. Bring back David!!!

Seems it's not only the Brexit deal she's failed to read.
