You in particular have provided no factual basis for what you have posted, I realise it is what you believe, but unfortunately just because you believe something doesn't make it true.

If anybody needs treatment, its you for being deluded. As with any Brexit supporting person, you have failed at anytime to provide a factual evidence based reason as to why Brexit is good for the UK.

Your proposition that Farage a man with no political experience, other than taking £70K a year from the EU and by the way ensuring he didn't resign so he could collect the pension, who is earning a good whack for pedalling falsehoods and lies to dumb people is worthy of a Knighthood, merely begs the question "what drugs are you on?"

So yes I will call out people like you who post utter garbage, who have opinions that they can't back up with reasonable facts. If you can't articulate something half sentient then I suggest you should shut the **** up!

Go back to living in the past old man, fortunately your wish to return to the 50's is a vain one and your beloved Brexit will turn to ashes before your eyes, though I guess as you are a fantasist, then you won't be able to contemplate reality.
Oh but you do, Swale. You have a massive problem with anyone who disagrees with you and you invariably make it personal.

Nobody but nobody on here detests Farage and the concept of Brexit more than me, but for four years now I’ve been able to challenge and debate the issue without ever exchanging a cross word with MoP whereas you just use the scattergun approach at anybody and everybody who dares to disagree with the gospel according to Swaledale.

Looking on here there’s a pattern as to when people post. Many of my posts are made over breakfast for instance whereas many of yours seem to be in the early hours when perhaps your most vitriolic seem to be aided and abetted by a surfeit of alcohol.

Maybe you should read that last post to MoP back in the cold light of day...it’s just downright ‘nasty’ and as for your ‘old man’ jibe...not only is it undeniably ageist, but I’ve not actually heard or seen anything to suggest that he’s any older than you.

Now before you start, yet again with any repetitive nonsense about ‘good Germans, teachers or sorting things over a cup of tea’...allow me to make a few suggestions/observations to you.
    1) You are an intelligent and knowledgeable poster - at least as far as Brexit is concerned - who has single handedly probably done more to further the cause you detest by being so bloody arrogant and disrespectful.
    2) Only bullies and keyboard warriors try to change minds by continually shouting at and abusing people.
    3) Take some more water with it.

P.S. I know I’m wasting my time, but you’ve done the impossible...made me 100% agree with MoP’s last post. Think how powerful you could be with a modicum of respect.

Thanks Ra, let’s see if that has an impact, I reflected on closing the Brexit thread and decided it was too blunt an instrument, but have considered closing ALL ‘Putting the world to rights’ threads overnight at 11pm for reasons connected with some of your comments

I think that would be a pity, AF. Of course this is, first and foremost, a DCFC forum but it can be interesting to exchange ‘putting the world to rights’ views with other Derby supporters and frankly the forum might well have ‘died’ without things like the Brexit or Covid threads.
Such views will, and probably should, lead to argument...it’s just the personal name calling that needs keeping in check imo. Didn’t we used to have a ‘card’ system for repeat offenders? Better to use that than start restricting threads...again imo.

    Maybe we need a ‘referendum’.

I meant closing threads overnight only, ‘after the pubs shut’ as it were

The card system does still exist, I handed one out on Sunday actually for a very specific offence and the perp took it on the chin.

Well put RA, sometimes, although I may disagree with him, there seems to be some intelligence to his posts, but then his alter ego kicks starts with long laborious rants which demonstrate a complete lack of intelligence. Intelligent people can resort to such comments in the heat of a verbal argument, but surely when composing a written reply, an intelligent person would moderate their replies somewhat and realise that typing such profanities, knowing that they'll be censored, is a waste of effort.

I no longer bother to read these rants, let alone reply to them and if everyone took the same action, then maybe we would have the respectful Swale posting and contributing to a better board with much more pleasant discussion and disagreement.
