Still pop in to Casper's for a cuppa when back.

I was born in Moorgate Hospital and lived in Thrybergh until the age of 5 where I went to the Little 100 primary school for a few months.
I was taken to Millmoor for the first time aged 6 and can remember the smell of liniment and being so close to the players on the pitch. That was it, I was hooked and the Millers were in my blood even at that very young age.
My grandad was a Wendy fan and was always trying to persuade me to support them because "they were a much bigger club than little old Rotherham." Obviously they thought they were massive even in those days!
My dad was in the army and we moved to London briefly before he was posted to Germany where we stayed for 5 years so most of my primary education was in army schools. This was 1955 to 1960 and we British kids had great fun playing at war against real Germans.
When we came back to England I started secondary school in Suffolk but then my dad moved to the Royal Military Accademy in Sandhurst so I started at another school in Berkshire. All my friends were Reading fans and wanted me to go to games with them but, being a Miller, I wanted to be different so I went to watch Aldershot who were in Division 4.
I moved back to Rotherham in 1966 and started an apprenticeship at Steel Peech & Tozer.
I played for a few local teams but went to Millmoor at every opportunity and was lucky enough to see that top class forward line mentioned on another thread.
Since then I've had continuous season tickets at Millmoor, Don Valley and NYS and hope we can get back to our home soon although I can't see it being before next season now.

Can't say as I had family on Foljambe Drive. The three Uncles I mentioned either lived in Dalton Brook or just off Whinney Hill.

All eventually moved further into Thrybergh once they started pulling houses down in the Brook and on Whinney Hill.

Born in the front bedroom of 42 Greenfield Road, East Herringhthorpe and somehow ended up in SW Florida via Wickersley, Ughelli, Kunming and Vise to name a few. Looking to buy somewhere small in Wickersley for a base back home, where there's no place like, sometimes.

You, me and CT should chip in together for a MM ex-pat crash pad although with Mrs CA pushing for a permanent re-relocation back there we've been looking for somewhere with an annex/AirBNB potential so I could rent out to you. Just have to sell her on S Yorkshire first though.
