Here is another way to look at it.... maybe he would rather leave, get a run of games, play alongside a proven midfielder in C A and not get the stick he always has at utd?

In that case it would require more creative accountancy from the Funsters because if you remember they could not afford to bring players in but their sponsors pay the bulk of Charlie's wages.

But the thing is he now has his future in his own hands he doesent need told “we can keep him as a back up till the end of the season then fuch off across the road” one step back to make two forward might be his best option just now. For the record with the injurys we have now i think it would be downright daft to let him go but, if he is not offered some sort of contract quickly i couldnt blame the guy for wanting to move now to a club where he can still stay in his own house without much disruption to his life.

One step back to take two forward like he did last time? I would suggest that 'one step back' is his level.

Fair enough, but if my boss never wanted me and guy across the road does then i know what i would do, i certainly wouldnt hang around for someone else's convenience.

Jesus aye, PP has had it tight but that’s down to the complete let down he’s been, great debut even scored a goal and never really done anything after that unfortunately

Played well when he has actually had a chance in an balanced attacking formation, which hasn't happened enough

He simply hasnt been given a run of games to show what he can bring at this level which imo is a very handy player and a good asset to have and one you don't let go to a city rival

That's due to Mellon and the formation, we could have won that game on Saturday had he and/or Bolton been introduced after an hour or so

He has looked OK on occasion but has he scored or had an assist? Can't think of any. Compare that with Bolton who maybe doesn't look as good during matches but is delivering with a goal and assist lately.

He turns up in big games, against Ayr , play off matches against ICT.

I certainly wouldn't be jumping at the first opportunity and taking a demotion. Working for a lesser company, operating at a lower level, for half the salary. If I had faith in my own ability I'd be fighting to prove to my manager, or a manager of a company of equal stature, that I was good enough to ply my trade with the big boys.

But......maybe he'd be happy going to Dundee and playing in the Championship? Who knows? Speaks volumes for the boys ambition if that's the case. Possibly why MM doesn't play him. Maybe he's not fully committed to being the best he can be and he's no that bathered about giving 100% (it seems that way in certain games) and therefore the manager isn't bathered about playing him.
