Getting guys like Smith off the wage bill is a bonus, players signing pre-contract isn't ideal, like Whitfield said the other day McMullan needs to go now. Hopefully the sleeping giants can come to a deal with us on that one.

Benji going for anything around a million helps the club hugely as i still dont see any fans back in grounds this season so we've lost millions there

I'll not be surprised if we dont sign anyone, I think we've enough in the tank to see us out till the end of the season and that is all thats ever really mattered this season
Agree with all of this. Would love to see us sign someone who can benefit the team straight away, but I do believe we have enough as is, even if Benji goes.

I agree Deniz is good as no 2 and happy with him if required to end of season but we need to source an excellent keeper for next season if Benji goes

Benji has earned us a lot of points this season and that will be missed

I’m not looking for buys this next month - will be bonus to get big money in for Benji and get rid of some of the dead wood

He looked better than Bolton in those games imo, that was bolton goal and came from the excellent pass into McNulty from mcmullan which then deflected into his path

Anyway confirmed pre contract with fun so we'll likely move this month, big mistake to strengthen the fun but can't see us holding onto him till summer though I think we should

No way he'd have agreed to leave and step down to the wee team in city at a lower level if given more game time but its in short supply for the wingers in the system we play most of this season so he will have got fed up, good signing for them you have to say

Why don't we just play call my buff and ask the owner for enough dosh to put in a real serious bid for Charlie Adam?

Would be great to see "if" whatever the sponsors are paying could be wiped out by a nice financial package.

He is the type of player we are defo missing, but...... would they sell for a great price ? would he leave his beloved club for triple wages?

Oh how much I would like to see the outcome of that. Can't see it happening, but MoJo did jump aff a bigger ship I seem to recall

    Yup

It's not so much about haunting us, yes he if capable of playing well against us but he was excellent in a couple derbies and has that experience and has improved at Utd since he joined, its more that he can boost them, I enjoy the fun being doon (was great them coming down pitifully then destroying them in derbies in front of big crowds on TV then leaving them there) so hopefully we won't be playing league games with them anytime soon

They are getting an experienced tricky player who is still in his peak for a few more years injuries permitting though

I could understand this is if he was consistently good or they were in the same league as us Shedka but they aren't, as far as strengthening is concerned i couldn't care less about them and who plays for them, they are not our rivals this season and probably wont be for a many years

Wonder if any Prem teams were genuinely interested

i dunno, i think some are reading too much into the mighty Dee hype over him, which is normal for them with every player, white cafu, the moose as a couple of examples...

Granted Charlie has had a tremendous career and he's made a good few quid and wont need to work again, tripling his money wouldnt matter a f uck to him, he's well set up

I think the fact that McMullen has voluntarily stepped down a division and the additional fact that no other top league team has come in for him speaks volumes for other Clubs’ assessment of his top league credentials and frankly his own personal assessment of his ability against Premiership opposition.
