The odds are against us, there's no doubt about that.

But here are some reasons to be positive;

- We have a survival specialist in charge who has been parachuted into dire situations before and has never been relegated

- We are in the market for new players. Hamza Choudhury strongly linked (a massive upgrade on what we have in my view) and a striker will come in before the end of the window. And maybe more will follow too. This will freshen up the squad which is much needed.

- We are no longer in the cup, which will give us extra time to prepare for our league games. All of the other bottom 5 in the prem have winnable games in the next round.

- We still have Fulham and Brighton to play at home, we need to win both of those. If we do, we are right in the mix to stay up.

- It only takes 1 win to turn our season around. Wolves are playing midweek and have lost their striker for the season. Its also a derby game. I'm not at all saying we will beat them, but it would springboard our season if we were to scrape a win

Just a few thoughts I had today. Or is all this just optimistic delusion?
