    Lockdown - Joke!

1500+ deaths today but more cars on the road than ever. Shops taking the piss like wine shops and Hotel Chocolat ( supposedly food and drink ) being open plus clothes floors in M&S if they have food etc etc. No wonder this country is
f ucked! If you are going to have a lock down - have a f uckin lockdown rather than a glorified garden party - nurseries open too/nurseries/more kids in schools than first lock down as parents taking the piss! Trades still working in private houses etc etc.

At least Sturgeon does not dilly dally like Boris the wally even if some say its point scoring! Further tighter restrictions!

Brazil variant - Boris says it's worrying!!! Not as worrying with flights still arriving in the UK from Brazil you knob!!!

Perhaps we will act when deaths exceed 3000 a day! Our death rate compared to other countries is shocking!!!!

Next jogger in a huge wide road who decides to run within 1 metre to me will be risking a boot up the arse!!! Why the hell do joggers decide to run on narrow country paths/walks where there are walkers! Why don't they jog to their hearts content around empty car parks/sports pitches etc keeping within a safe distance!

I run on country lanes mate, the reverse happens to me as it did today.

People walking in groups who can clearly see I need space but continue to fill virtually the width of the road.

A lot of bad attitude if you even say “excuse me” politely and make it obvious you want a bit of space.

Pedestrians are more arrogant than walkers in my experience, they expect us joggers to crawl through hedges.

I used to jog before the lockdown daily before illness. Lots of country lanes near us through pine woods and most pedestrians when seeing a person/people coming in the opposite direction go single file. I don't have such an issue myself as if any jogger comes within 1 metre again of me they might get tripped up. I feel though for old folk on walks on narrow footpaths - they simply can't hear joggers coming and get the fright of their lives when a jogger comes running past them within almost touching distance.

So my point is with every one nervous and many old folk going on very narrow paths - why the f uck don't joggers find open spaces and jog to their hearts contents. Hardly fair on old folk who have to go out for fresh air but trying to keep safe on a narrow country path then some ignorant t wat covered in sweat is running almost touching distance to them.

Same with me yesterday - took the dog for a walk and focusing on the dog - when some bitch of a girl decided to jog almost within touching distance to me. I didn't hear her - as she was running she could have swerved and continued into an empty road - crossed the road and jogged on the opposite footpath but no - she jogged almost within touching distance. She was almost in tears when she received a mouthful - but I don't want Covid so she just needed to engage her brain! Not too much trouble to ask!

Can't see why joggers would even need to use narrow footpaths in beauty spots etc when there are lots of walkers/elderly. Surely any jogger would not want to stop and jog to their hearts content in a safe quiet spot. I nearly lost it this morning though!

People getting nervous though at the moment and really hate anybody who comes too close as no need for it! Yes many pedestrians can be ignorant too - but you have an opportunity to move out of the way but sadly don't be someone is running and on top of you before you notice. That's the difference. When I used to jog a lot, I used to run around the park as it was quiet and nobody was there so you could get a real sprint on.

I see Boris had a nice bike ride the other day.

My Aunt and her husband are in their early eighties, and live in Coseley. They had a letter inviting them to come and be vaccinated at Millennium Point in Brum.
    How daft is that?
They aren't the only people from Coseley i know who have been asked to go there.
Can't beat a couple of good bus rides can you?

Totally see your point Des! All those old folk in long lines very close to each other in the freezing cold to be vaccinated! Incredible!

It’s not just runners/joggers, a few days ago I was out walking the dogs; whilst going along a narrow section of path, hedge and fence on either side, an elderly woman with a dog could have waited a few moments until I completed the last few yards of the path but no, just came towards me brushing past, just plain stupid. Conversely, a couple of runners went off the pavement into the road to give me, and themselves, plenty of room. There are idiots in all sections of society.

My mum lives in Stourbridge Des, she’s just phoned me to tell me that she too has to go to Millennium Point........ten miles from her home.

She was rung on 5th of January by her local surgery but wasn’t in when the call was made.

The fact that she refuses to use an answerphone or 1571 on her phone makes this her own fault and now inconveniences me next week.

I’ll wager that a lot of these old crones are exactly the same as my mum.

I agree Ketts. I used to do lots of jogging myself but you can move out of the way of ignorant pedestrians but joggers are on top of you before you have time to move or react especially if elderly. It makes more nervous ( at the moment ) when someone is running past you puffing and panting covered in sweat.

Yesterday I focused on the dog and this stupid girl puffing and panting was almost going past me before I realized - she could have gone in a wide road/swapped sides but she didn't. She got upset when she was verbally abused but I don't want Covid! When I jogged a lot on a momentum - it was easy to swerve someone as you are running as opposed to expecting the other person to move who probably has not heard you - as in my case!

How difficult would it be Mick for a community nurse to go around all the elderly properties. For f uck sake many volunteers would help out. Seeing all these elderly in huge lines in the cold - too close - is appalling!

I would also offer vaccinations for private at a hefty cost - many with money would pay or should be made to pay which will get through the millions quicker and not rape the NHS when many can afford it. Priority of vaccinations though still should not change!

In this case it’s my mums own fault mate, she’s stubborn for the sake of it, she won’t even contemplate pressing the button on an answering machine.

He stubbornness always ends up causing hassle for the rest of us, especially for my wife.
