Well the Mrs prefers the Coach (nice Sunday dinner) but I prefer the Olympic, it's under new management now as well. I popped in around July time and they happened to have Rotherham v Shrewsbury play off final on 😂

You obviously know the area. Are you another exiled Miller in Derby?

I used to live there but not now. Lodge st.
There used to be a high tech manufacturing company on the main road that used to make parts for F1 cars when I was there.
Is the Beetroot tree still open.
There were five pubs open when I was there but two closed. Far too many for a village that size

I don't think it's there now, it's something else. You probably mean the premises near the Vic, same side of the road.

Beetroot Tree is now a yoga studio called the Elephant Rooms. Can't say it's a place I've frequented at all! 🤣

Rose & Crown I think is now someone's house lol

Well deserved victory, just what we needed. Just got to carry it on to Tuesday night and put a few results together.

When I lived there one of the local bus companies put on a double decker bus that collected Derby fans from all the surrounding villages for their home games.
I got on it for our match when Mike Pollitt got sent off for handling inside his area. Kinkladze scored the resulting free kick.
Derby fans were talking the mickey on the way there saying we'd only bring 500. I said well you'll better move over a bit behind the goal because we've sold 5000 tickets
Quite a lot of trouble outside the ground

Gm gm. Ah ok. I used to work on Pride Park, about 400 yards from the footie ground. I used to go home via the Wyvern but the road works resulting from the project were never ending and it frequently took me the best part of half an hour to get off the estate. Worked in Derby for nearly 30 years and took the step to move down in 2009. Now packed in but still live here & love it.
