If being civil and not using personal insults to complete strangers is being a snowflake then I am happy to be called one.

I know it's a game of opinions, but whoever posted those absurd ratings should be clearing their desk tomorrow.
Wootton never had a clear sight of goal? Obviously didn't watch the game!

However, I’m not sure if we’ve got enough decent midfielders to play 4-4-2 if Cal Roberts isn’t playing and creating something out of nothing as one of our wingers. We’ve been a midfielder light ever since Sloth stormed off in October, a combative midfielder light since Rose left at the end of last season, and an energetic midfielder light since Crawford wasn’t offered a new deal. For me, midfield is the main reason we’re underperforming this season.
I agree whole heartedly with this , midfield is and has been the problem this season and last.

Doyle looked tired after 60 minutes and Reeves was an accident waiting to happen - he has a habit of misplaced passes and got way with at least one howler yesterday. He's also very one paced. I'd like to see Wolfe given a chance,

I've never seen Doyle look tired. I've seen him have poor games, but I've never seen him stop running at any stage of the game. The bloke is a freak of nature, and constantly picking him isn't something I'd criticise Ardley for, because I'd do the same. I agree that Reeves didn't do himself justice yesterday, he made a few poor passes in our half but he doesn't usually do that. I get that the two of them aren't exactly a dynamic midfield, but I still think they are our best option.

I'm not a Doyle knocker and agree his physical performance is normally exceptional for his age, but I thought he looked leaden footed and his body wasn't able to keep up with his mind, for once, in the last 30 minutes.

The decision to bring on O'Brien for Enzio is for me a bit indicative of an overly cautious mindset from Ardley. It wasn't Enzio's best performance (by a long stretch) but why not bring on Miller if you want to take him off. Wolfe for Reeves or Doyle would have been another option.

There was one occasion in the second half (not sure of the time) when Torquay broke quickly with men over. There was a great defensive header to stop the cutting pass, and I was amazed to hear that 'defender' was Michael Doyle! He had the awareness and energy to get back and stop the attack. It probably won't be remembered by many, but these unsung things can make a big difference.

He's had unwarranted criticism pretty much since he arrived, especially last season. All clubs need a player to boo, and Doyle has fitted that role whilst in NL.

Our midfield is our weak link this season and last but he's not the weak link of the midfield group. He's our best central midfielder.

Really? He's fairly one dimensional but other players such as Enzio, Turner, Rose for example have come in for far worse criticism than him. Our midfield isn't really the weak link either. It's the injury to our best player and our most natural goal scorer leaving and being replaced with a loan signing who gets almost no game time. Plus a drop in conversions so to speak by Kyle and Thomas making his corona decision. You might want to review what games you watch! There are few goals in this team currently.
